Good Afternoon all,

Our trained First Responders are just around the corner from getting out in the local community of Crieff!

As we are a charity we rely solely on community funding, grants, donations and the help of volunteers in order to operate. A huge milestone for the Crieff Community First Responders today! 🎉

The Scottish Ambulance Service have officially started training for our community responders, it will not be long now before you see us out and about in the community!

Our responders are joined by others from Aberfeldy, Arbroath and Brechin for training this weekend. A huge thank you to them all for volunteering their free time in order to keep their community safe 😊

Hello all 👋

We're looking to hold our first meeting/training night in January for our community first responders in January. This is more to get familiar with each other before the official SAS training weekends with Neil Hardy. This meeting will be for those that have had a PVG/disclosure check carried out only.

Please let me know which of the following dates works for you:
Tuesday 20th of January
Wednesday 21st of January
Thursday 22nd if January

The meeting should be held at the Crieff Community Hospital day unit (availability dependant) at the usual time of 6.30pm - 7.30pm.

SAS training weekends:

Neil has suggested the following weekends for the official training:
21st and 22nd of February
28th of February and the 1st of March

Please get in touch if these dates do not work for you, there is a possibility for training in Blairgowrie at the end of March if required.

**For the attention of community first responder applicants**

Following in from my precious post, I have managed to book the day unit in the cottage hospital on the 25th of November. This will be a meeting with Neil from SAS carry out a group ID check and is exclusively for those who applied to become a community first responder.

Details are as follows:

Location: day unit - crieff cottage hospital
Time: 6.30pm
Date: Tuesday the 25th of November

Please remember to bring along photo ID (passport or drving license) for Neil to check.

Hello all,

For those that attended our meeting and filled out an application form to become a community first responder, Neil has asked if we are able to organise a date to carry out a group ID check in order to try and get a PVG done by Christmas.

This will mean all meeting as a group on the same night, I'll post possible dates below:

Friday the 14th of November
Wednesday the 25th of November
Thursday the 26th of November

We will look to meet in the Crieff Cottage Hospital at 18.30 on the selected date.

If you are unable to make any of the dates please give me a message or comment below.

Crieff Cottage Hospital have a free space for us to carry out future meetings and training.

We have booked the space for next week to get a face to face meeting for those that have applied or are interested in becoming a community first responder. Neil Hardy from SAS will join us to answer any possible questions you may have at this time.

Does anyone know of a local hall/venue in Crieff that would be willing to provide a free training space/meeting space for our responders? This would be on a monthly basis once we are operational.
