Counselling can help in order to face and resolve these issues. I offer counselling in a convenient yet confidential location where you can safely explore your feelings and thoughts. I use an integrative approach which means I ca

n use many different methods and techniques to help people as your counselling sessions are unique to you and your circumstances. Person Centred counselling is based on a therapeutic relationship in which you will feel safe and supported. I will join you in your journey so that you do not feel alone. I do not have all the answers but I can help you to work on your issues and discover what is right for you.

We’ve been lucky enough to see some truly amazing, serene snapshots taken by a young person spending time with us here at Garnet Pathways. 💚

These beautiful photographs capture something really special — the calmness, character and individual personalities of the animals they have been spending time with. 🐴🐐🐾

Each photo tells its own little story. A quiet moment, a curious expression, a gentle connection… moments that can so easily be missed when we’re rushing through our busy lives.

It’s wonderful to see how taking time to slow down, observe and simply be with the animals can open up a completely different perspective. 🌿

We think these photographs beautifully capture what Garnet Pathways is all about — connection, calm, confidence and finding your own way to engage with the world around you. 💚

👀 Bertie and Jack's thoughts for the day...

"Excuse us... what on earth are those?!" 🤔🐴🐐

Our two boys spent ages standing at the fence today, completely captivated by the newest arrivals at Garnet Pathways. Every hop, sniff and playful adventure from the goats was met with an equally curious stare from Bertie and Jack!

Meanwhile, the goats were far too busy exploring their new surroundings to worry about their fascinated audience. They investigated every nook and cranny as if they'd lived here forever!

It's lovely to watch everyone getting used to one another. Before long we're sure these new neighbours will become part of the happy Garnet Pathways family, creating even more opportunities for connection, curiosity and smiles.

The Bee Gees (Barry, Maurice and Robin) are in a temporary paddock inbetween the garden and the orchard. Hence we have sheep hurdles in gaps and acting as gates. They have 24/7 access to their bed in the lodge in an old kennel until their permanent quarters are finalised.

They are very friendly. They are very fast.
If crossing this area use a direct route, do not make eye contact and have an offering of food as a last resort!!

We are having a great time remembering which one is which, learning their different personalities - and they are having an even better time testing how fast we can run and who carries the best treats.

🧲🐴 Farrier Day at Garnet Pathways! 🐴🧲

It was farrier day for our wonderful herd today, making sure every hoof is in great condition and our horses stay happy, healthy and comfortable.

Looking after our animals is at the heart of everything we do. Regular hoof care is an essential part of their wellbeing, helping them remain fit, comfortable and ready to support the children and young people who spend time with them.

A huge thank you to our farrier for taking such great care of our four-legged team. 💚

🐴 Happy Equine Assisted Services Day! 🐴

Today we're celebrating the heart of Garnet Pathways – our incredible herd.

As we continue our journey from Garnet Therapeutic Counselling to Garnet Pathways, our vision has grown, but one thing has remained the same: the extraordinary partnership between people and horses.

Every day our horses provide a calm, accepting and non-judgemental environment where children, young people and adults can feel safe to explore, learn, heal and grow. Whether someone is building confidence, developing emotional resilience, learning new skills or simply taking a moment to breathe, our herd is there every step of the way.

At Garnet Pathways, we believe that healing and personal growth happen through connection—and our horses have an incredible way of helping people discover strengths they never knew they had.

Today we'd like to say a heartfelt thank you to our amazing therapy herd. Their patience, kindness and gentle presence make a difference to so many lives, and we couldn't do what we do without them.

Thank you also to everyone who supports Garnet Pathways as we continue to develop our services and create opportunities for more people to access the unique benefits of equine-assisted services.

Here's to our horses, our participants, our supporters and everyone who believes in the power of connection. ❤️🐴

At this point they are simply worn out from climbing on things, eating anything and escaping.

So far so good........names changing on an hourly basis depending on what they are eating, where they are and what they have broken.

🚧 Behind the Scenes 🚧

The transition from Garnet Therapeutic Counselling to Garnet Pathways is continuing to take shape, and there’s been plenty happening behind the scenes recently.......

A huge thank you to Trevor, our Head of Maintenance, (Ellens husband), who has built two sets of new secure steps for the caravan. Not only do they look great, but they’ll also make access much safer and easier.🔨

Trevor has also been busy tidying the area around the caravan and creating a raised bed, ready for some future planting that will help make the space even more welcoming and therapeutic.🪴

The next job on the list is installing skirting around the bottom of the caravan. This is currently being built and will be painted to match the new steps, helping to bring everything together.

So, what’s next? 👀

We’ll be sharing more updates as our projects continue to develop. Watch this space as Garnet Pathways becomes a reality, one step at a time.

We cant wait to welcome everyone as this is all being shaped by what is needed.
