Top Tips to Keep Your Timber Build Looking Brand New!

Investing in a high-quality timber building or bespoke garden room is one of the best upgrades you can make for your home. To ensure your timber stays strong, weather-resistant and beautiful for years to come, follow this quick maintenance checklist:

💦 Try the "Water Test": Splash a few drops of water onto the wood. If it beads up, your protection is working! If it soaks in, it’s time for a fresh coat of treatment.

🍃 Keep a Clear Perimeter: Ensure grass, plants and soil aren't resting directly against the base of the wood. Letting air circulate around the bottom prevents dampness and rot.

💨 Let It Breathe: Open doors and windows on dry days to circulate air. Good ventilation stops internal condensation and mildew in its tracks.

🛠️ Oil the Hardware: Give your door hinges, handles and locks a quick spray of lubricant once a year to keep everything opening smoothly.
