Outdoorsy networking for businesswomen who love the fresh air! 🌿

Come along for our X event in the sea mist in , Scotland!

The plan was simple - run, learn, chat and return for a pastry reward and an inspiring speaker after all that hard work!

Jayne from led a fun little warm up before taking us across town past lots of incredible landmarks and stopping to soak about the history of the buildings and our heritage.

Her knowledge was fact filled and her stories were so interesting - plus it gave us a nice little break after the odd uphill 😮‍💨🤣

We returned after 4km ish of trotting around town to our space at the ever funky beachside cafe for delicious coffee, enormous flaky croissants and a fireside chat between Alice from and Alexis Durie - co founder of

Alexis spoke with passion about making the corporate to local leap, how branding principles from huge corporates can still be applied to small and medium enterprises and had so many amazing ideas about the science of marketing and how we can all aim to build community through our actions (read: be a good person! 😉)

The haar (sea mist) never lifted until I drove 10 minutes away in the car and it was blue skies and 18 degrees 🤣

Reflecting on

A weekend spent with amazing women.

We shared, supported and laughed.

We were thoughtful and honest and kind.

It’s bloody brilliant when women gather and do their thing. Nothing stronger.

On Friday hosted our first netwalking event of the year - glorious sunshine, great people, fresh air and a truly wonderful speaker.

told her story - how she managed a career pivot, took wild chances, grabbed them with both hands and consequently built a colourful empire that’s helping people feel more happy.

The rest of the weekend was dedicated to the incredible IWD event in St Andrews.

Over 200 women came together to dance, sing, sea swim, watch the sunrise and learn from a whole host of amazing workshops.

Inspiring words were shared by poet and beautiful music was sung by the angel that is

Our founder, Lifestyle Coach Alice Thomson, did a workshop on how to create a plan that helps you Stress Less…well, we can but try! 😘

Tears were shed, hugs were a plenty. Great food, unbelievable coordination by the team of 6 women behind who did it ALL as volunteers raising an amazing amount of ££ for charity

Here’s a wee story about how I accidentally created a community!

…and how I’ve been working hard behind the scenes to give that community a true identity.

The launch of this rebrand isn’t shiny and perfect, it’s scrappy and real and a bit of fun 🤩 like all of the women in our club!

Follow along (noting that pesky 1 🤣) to join in, cheer us on or watch us grow.

I appreciate every single person who has championed us, told a friend about our events, hugged someone who was feeling a bit down, laced up their boots and come outside into the fresh air with us.

And a special shout out to the incredible Katy .studio for bringing my ideas to life and producing the most playful, gorgeous branding!

Left the office, climbed a hill instead!

👉In my 1:1 work as an outdoorsy Health and Lifestyle Coach I guide my clients towards a plan that is strong in the simple things.

We work on having unshakeable, science backed lifestyle foundations and finding the joy in life.

So, it makes sense that my own business meetings follow suit!

I mean 😏 you’ve got to practice what you preach!

As often as I can, I work with amazing local businesswomen and encourage meeting for a walk, outdoor coffee, paddle board, beach stroll, sea swim - you name it!

🩵Fresh air regulates your nervous system
🩵Movement unblocks thinking
🩵Connection grows faster outdoors than in any boardroom

Whilst I acknowledge plenty of my meetings still have to be on Teams or Zoom due to time constraints or location, I urge everyone to see these options as a handy alternative rather than the status quo.

The ethos of our entire outdoorsy business club - the Fresh Air Collective - is based around these sentiments.

Fresh Air Lovers = More productive, energised and happy!

Surviving January? 🥶

It’s harder than it looks!

Whilst we can’t all cosy into a burrow and hibernate *sigh* there are some things you can do to feel better…

Hey 👋 I’m Alice and I’m a Health & Wellness Coach! I also founded a fun little club called the Fresh Air Collective for outdoorsy businesswomen - more on that later!

My top tips on surviving the cold, dark months of the year in Scotland are all focussed around keeping things simple.

It’s kinda my USP 🤣

1/ Get as much sunlight as possible - outdoor tea breaks, lunch time walks, sit by a window... It regulates our sleep/wake hormones and improves our mood.

2/ See your friends - I know you’re busy, it’s cold, it’s dark at night but social connections are the biggest predictor of happiness and real connection improves our outlook. (*Harvard Study of Happiness)

3/ Do the ‘big food shop’ for the week. Do it online if it’s easier. But do create a simple plan for the meals - it means you can feel in more control and you are less likely to grab something unhealthy in a rush after work.

4/ Move 👏 Every 👏 Day. Non-negotiable. It’s an effort - but it reaps big rewards. Little and often is fine. Set alarms, rope in a colleague, join a community - just move your body 🙏

5/ 🤫 turn down the noise - January is so loud. Full of things you ‘should’ be doing or ‘need to buy’ to get you out of this ‘slump’. But what if you just unsubscribe from that hustle, move intentionally and enjoy January for the ‘2026 warm up’ 🏃‍♀️ that it is?!

I mean…

Athlete’s have off seasons.
Scandinavian’s have hygge.
Bears hibernate.

Let’s have more of that!

Ah, I love a quote that slows me down a bit.

And I love to run outdoorsy events that help women slow down and appreciate the small things too.

🌿The Fresh Air Collective is a club for outdoor-loving businesswomen to gather, connect, have a laugh and prioritise their health.

👉It’s so easy for us to get caught up in the ‘busyness’ of business that we often forget what’s important.

We forget to be present and enjoy the *process*

(Which, let’s be honest, is actually the majority of life! 😂)

We had our final Fresh Air Collective meet on Friday at the ever amazing

🥾 Starting with our favourite hike across the hills - because fresh air and movement regulates the nervous system and lets chat flow.

☕️ We returned to the Barley House for great coffee and settled in beside the fire for an inspiring and emotive talk from the amazing

🌱Mel is so relatable and never fails to instil energy in the room when she speaks - lots of ideas sparked for 2026 and beyond.

🥗 Finishing off with a nourishing Christmas Lunch with a twist - incredible meal provided by

🥂 and of course some glasses of ‘bubbly’ to celebrate from

What a day - 26 genuinely wonderful women all cheerleading, supporting and laughing together.
