Well… The saga of our amphibious friends continues…
Bruce has found tadpoles a couple of weeks ago and then one more larger frog last week which he has released into the Brook.
This makes four in all.
Maybe we can name a new genus of amphibian?
Perhaps amphibious shedus! 😀🐸🏞️

This wasn’t an easy undertaking, however we wrote to the occasion.
We were asked to complete a flat packed 8ft aluminium garden planter. Even though we were following the instructions, it still was quite difficult to finish…  👍🏼🤯🤦‍♂️

🧺💙 A huge thank you to Hall & Woodhouse Community Chest for helping us create our new community laundry facilities at the Strand Centre.

Last year, Hall & Woodhouse awarded the Strand Community Trust a £1,000 Community Chest grant. Together with their generous donation of a Bosch washing machine and Beko tumble dryer, this support has enabled us to install our new laundry facilities.

The appliances are already making a difference. They can be used by members of our community facing hardship, while also helping us wash volunteers' aprons, café tea towels and cleaning cloths, supporting the many volunteers who keep the Centre running. The grant helped fund the plumbing installation, with further electrical work planned. A special thank you to our Dawlish Men’s Shed volunteers, who built a bespoke support frame for the appliances.

We're incredibly grateful to Hall & Woodhouse Community Chest for believing in our vision and supporting communities across the South West.
