🟠 Real Client Result – Ankle Support Taping
This session involved a client experiencing discomfort across multiple areas of the ankle and foot, including:
• Achilles tendon
• Plantar fascia
• Lateral ankle ligaments (ATFL / CFL)
Due to the combination of issues, a layered taping approach was used, combining different techniques and tape types to address each structure effectively.
The aim was to:
✔️ Reduce pain
✔️ Provide stability and support
✔️ Maintain full range of movement (essential for riding)
⸻
🐎 Outcome
After approximately 20 minutes of riding, the client was asked how the ankle felt:
👉 “I hadn’t even noticed it.”
At this stage in a normal session, discomfort would usually be present.
When dismounting — typically the most sensitive movement — the client reported:
👉 No pain and no hesitation
⸻
💬 Summary
This demonstrates how a targeted and tailored taping approach can:
• Offload stressed structures
• Improve joint stability
• Allow natural movement without restriction
• Reduce pain during activity
Every case is different, and achieving the best outcome often requires combining techniques to suit the individual.
