Mental Health Social Prescribing provides non medical support
around mental health and well being.
We give you the time to talk about what matters to you supporting
you to navigate through the things that impact on your mental
health and also support you to connect to mental health specialist
services.
If you would like support or would like to find out more drop in and
meet your Mental Health Social Prescribing Link Worker, Nasreen.
We will also be joined by CLEAR a free mental wellbeing service for
adults (18+) in Kirklees, offering supportive groups, courses and
activities to build confidence, develop skills and improve wellbeing.

💜 Cervical Screening Awareness Week | 15th–21st June 💜

Cervical screening (previously known as a smear test) is one of the best ways to protect yourself against cervical cancer. It can detect changes early, before cancer has a chance to develop.

📅 If you've received an invitation, please don't delay – book your appointment.

✔️ Screening is offered to people aged 25 to 64 with a cervix.
✔️ The test is quick and carried out by trained healthcare professionals.
✔️ Even if you've had the HPV vaccine, regular screening is still important.

It's normal to feel anxious or have questions. Support and information are available, and your practice team is here to help.

The Hope Cafe, based at North Road Suite, will be holding a Cake Stall Fundraiser in support of the Jo Cox Foundation's 10-Year Anniversary Campaign.

Just a reminder to our patients, First Steps to Fitness is a free 6‑week programme designed to help people get started with exercise or return after a break or injury. It includes weekly small‑group sessions with CIMSPA‑accredited instructors, focusing on goal setting, confidence building, and practical education to support behaviour change.
Participants receive gradual, step‑by‑step support, including an introduction to KAL facilities, gym equipment, group classes, and the KAL app for home exercise. Full access to KAL gyms, pools, and classes is included for the duration of the programme, free of charge.
The programme is for physically inactive people aged 16+, with no medical conditions preventing activity, who are committed to making long‑term lifestyle changes and have not held a KAL membership or Flexi Card in the past 18 months.
