📢 Welcome to our very first Simulation Centre Newsletter!

We’re excited to launch our new Sway newsletter, giving you a glimpse into the people, passion and purpose behind our Simulation Centre.

In this first edition, you’ll get to meet some of the team who help make simulation-based learning possible, discover what our centre is all about, and learn how simulation supports the development of healthcare professionals across our organisation.

From immersive scenarios and technical skills training to teamwork, communication and patient safety, our aim is to create engaging learning experiences that make a real difference to patient care.

Proud moment for our Simulation Centre đź‘Ź

Over the last year, we’ve supported the learning and development of 1,004 learners through simulation-based education across our NHS services.

In comparison with many NHS simulation programmes, this places us as an active and well-established centre delivering impactful training to healthcare professionals across multiple disciplines. From technical skills and human factors to emergency scenarios and team communication, every session helps build confidence and improve patient care.

A huge thank you to our faculty, facilitators, volunteers, and every learner who has walked through our doors this year — your enthusiasm and engagement continue to drive the centre forward 💙
