COURSE SPOTLIGHT - CHEMICAL HANDLING & CHEMICAL SPILLAGE

Welcome to this week’s Course Spotlight.

Does your team use, handle or work around chemicals as part of their day-to-day role?

Our Chemical Handling & Chemical Spillage Training is a practical 5-hour course designed to give employees a better understanding of chemical hazards in the workplace and the confidence to respond appropriately should a chemical spill or incident occur.

The course includes:
✔️ Identifying common chemical hazards in the workplace
✔️ Understanding how chemicals can enter the body and the risks they can pose to health
✔️ Understanding chemical labels, hazard information and Safety Data Sheets
✔️ Safe chemical handling, storage and segregation
✔️ Selecting appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
✔️ Measures to help prevent chemical accidents and spillages
✔️ Chemical spill response procedures
✔️ Actions to take while awaiting the emergency services
✔️ Practical chemical spillage handling and clearing exercise

TAILORED TO YOUR WORKPLACE

Every workplace is different. Let us know about any specific chemicals or substances your employees work with and we can adapt the course content to suit your workplace and the chemicals your team may encounter.

This helps make the training relevant to your employees, rather than simply delivering a generic chemical awareness course.

September is here, routines are getting back to normal, and our autumn training calendar is already looking busy!

The summer holidays are over, schools are back, and routines are returning to normal… and we’ve certainly hit the ground running at Emergency Response Training Ltd!

We’ve kicked off September with every one of our instructors fully booked, out delivering essential training to school and education staff, including:

- Fire Safety Training
- Anaphylaxis Training
- Evacuation Chair Training

🎉 A huge well done to this week’s newly qualified First Aiders!

It’s been a fantastic three days here at ER Training on our First Aid at Work (FAW) & Defibrillator course.

Today was all about putting those new skills into practice, with realistic first aid scenarios and the final assessments – and we’re delighted to say everyone passed with flying colours! 👏

You’ve been an incredible group to work with – enthusiastic, engaged and great fun throughout the three days. We hope you’ve enjoyed the course as much as we’ve enjoyed having you.

A big thank you to National Horseracing College King Asia, PIP Services, Polypipe Building Products and Steris for choosing ER Training for your First Aid at Work training.

Congratulations again to you all! We hope to see you back for your annual refreshers and, eventually, your First Aid at Work Requalification.
