Congratulations to our amazing Nursing Team!

We are incredibly proud to share that our outstanding team of Nurses, Nurse Associates and Healthcare Assistants were named Runners-Up in the Nursing Team of the Year category at the South Yorkshire Awards for Nurses Working in General Practice 2026.

This recognition is a testament to the dedication, compassion, professionalism and hard work that our team demonstrates every day in delivering exceptional care to our patients and supporting our wider practice team.

While they may have narrowly missed out on the top award, being recognised amongst the very best nursing teams in South Yorkshire is a fantastic achievement and one that should be celebrated.

Thank you to each and every member of the team for the difference you make to our patients, our practices and our community. We are immensely proud of you all.

Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition! πŸŽ‰πŸ‘πŸ†

Deaf Awareness Week ❀️🦻🏼

Deaf Awareness Week is an annual event raising awareness about deafness and celebrating British deaf culture, community, and history.

Deaf Awareness Week runs from 4 to 10 May 2026.

Why is Deaf Awareness Week important?
In the UK, around half of deaf children are born deaf. The other half are born hearing and become deaf as they get older.

It can be hard for families and teachers to recognise when a child is showing signs of deafness, especially if the deafness is mild, affects one ear only, or happens gradually.

Some signs of childhood deafness – like not responding when called, or preferring to play alone – can be mistaken for conditions like autism. Other signs of deafness – like not following instructions or getting frustrated easily – might be mistaken for being naughty!

The earlier a child is identified as deaf, the earlier they can be supported – whether that's through getting hearing aids, learning sign language, or having some extra help at school.

That's why we want to help raise awareness about the signs of childhood deafness. Learning to spot common signs of deafness is an important step towards making sure all deaf children get the right support at the right time.

πŸ“’ Important Update – Blood Clinic Appointments.

From Tuesday 5th May, our blood clinic will no longer operate as a walk-in service and will move to an appointment-only system.

This change is due to the ongoing fluctuation in demand, which has made it difficult to manage patient flow effectively. Following a trial period, it has become clear that a walk-in clinic is unfortunately not sustainable within the practice.

Booking appointments will help us provide a more efficient service, reduce waiting times, and ensure patients are seen in a timely and organised manner.

πŸ“ž Please contact reception to book your appointment.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
