Where Consciousness Meets Resonance

Wednesday 16 September

An evening to slow down, soften and explore the space between inner and outer awareness.

We’ll begin with gentle yoga and mindful stretching, before moving into Conscious Connected Breathing with Lindsey Lindsey ~ Somatic Yoga Therapist & Breathwork Facilitator — a rhythmic breath practice that can shift our state of awareness.

Nadine’s Nadine Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls will then weave through the experience, using resonance and vibration to support a deeper journey inward.
Music, breath, movement and sound come together to create space for stillness, release and a different quality of awareness.

We’ll close with a quiet tea meditation with Lisa grounding the experience before you return to your evening. You’ll also take the tea blend home with you.

No previous experience of yoga, breathwork or meditation is needed.

Over the last three years, I’ve had the privilege of lecturing for The Minded Institute, teaching over 150 yoga teachers and healthcare professionals about menopause and yoga.

One thing has become increasingly clear to me: there is a real appetite for evidence-informed education that translates the science into practical, accessible teaching. I feel it is important to understand the WHY behind what we offer.

This training brings together the knowledge I’ve gained through my work as a yoga therapist and lecturer, alongside the latest evidence and practical tools that you can take straight into your classes.

My hope is that you’ll leave feeling more confident supporting the women already in front of you, not by changing everything you teach, but by making the yoga you already offer more menopause-informed.

I’d love you to join me on 5th September in London.

You don’t need to be a menopause specialist to make a meaningful difference.

But becoming menopause-informed is one of the most valuable ways you can upskill as a yoga teacher.

Every woman will go through menopause, and for many of us, the majority of our students are women over 40. In my own classes, that’s around 80% of the people I teach. It highlights just how important it is to understand the changing physiology of the largest demographic in our classes.

Through the Four Pillar Framework – Brain • Bone • Muscle • Heart – this training helps you understand what practices can support women through menopause, but more importantly, why. You’ll leave with greater confidence in creating menopause-informed classes, adapting practices appropriately and answering questions within your scope of practice.

For me, one of the greatest privileges of teaching yoga is being in service to other women.

To offer a space where women feel seen, understood and supported during a significant life transition is incredibly powerful. My hope is that this training gives you the confidence and knowledge to do just that.

Our nervous system plays an important role in both brain and heart health and menopause can be a time when stress, anxiety, poor sleep and changes in our ability to regulate can feel more noticeable.

As yoga teachers, we can support women by creating practices that encourage regulation rather than simply adding more stimulation. Breathwork, mindful movement, appropriate challenge and moments of stillness can all have a place, and there are ways you can work with all to facilitate a more resilient nervous system.

Understanding the connection between the nervous system, brain and heart gives us more tools to make thoughtful choices in our teaching. In this training, we explore the science behind these changes and, most importantly, how to translate it into practical tools you can use in your classes.

• Menopause-informed teaching isn’t about doing more. It’s about understanding why we’re choosing what we choose •

When it comes to strength training, I believe something is always better than nothing.

Meeting realistic expectations, can feel like we’re achieving something vs putting up barriers to looking after ourselves.

Do I advocate strength training? Absolutely. But I believe in meeting women where they are.

As yoga teachers, we can help women find achievable, enjoyable and sustainable ways to build strength, while understanding how menopause can affect muscle, bone and connective tissue.

In the training, we’ll explore conditions such as osteoporosis and sarcopenia, alongside connective tissue health, inflammation and common musculoskeletal concerns.

We’ll also look practically at how we can incorporate resistance training into yoga and adapt postures and movement to better support women through menopause.

Small, informed changes to the way we teach can make a meaningful difference.

Although we don’t cover hot flushes in detail on the training (as they sit more within menopause symptoms), understanding their relationship with other aspects of our health is valuable.

Hot flushes, bar feeling hot and sweaty, have associations with heart health, anxiety and palpitations, disrupted sleep, and may even have implications for cognitive health. As yoga teachers and therapists, these are areas where we can offer meaningful support through movement, breathwork and mindfulness practices.

This half-day training combines the science with practical application. Before the training you’ll complete an online module exploring topics such as oestrogen and heart health, and on the day you’ll learn practical, evidence-informed tools to support cardiovascular health, nervous system regulation, sleep, anxiety and cognitive wellbeing in your classes.

Saturday 5th September | London | 15 spaces available

Always keeping in mind you are modifying a posture to suit the individual. When we don’t know whether someone has osteoporosis, offering gentle guidance around spinal movements and encouraging students to work within their comfort levels can be incredibly helpful.

Education empowers our students to make informed decisions about their own bodies.

There is so much more for us to consider as yoga teachers and yoga therapists.

If you’re passionate about deepening your understanding of menopause and supporting women safely and confidently through midlife and beyond, I’d love you to join me on this practical half-day training.

Together we’ll explore not only which movements may need adapting for certain individuals, but also WHY. You’ll leave with practical ways to modify postures and transitions, helping to support stability, strength and confidence while respecting each woman’s individual needs.

The pre-recorded module on this subject will explain what happens to bones when oestrogen declines, and the impact of dysfunctional breathing and stress, providing you with a well-rounded picture from both a physiological and practical perspective.

You don’t need to complete a long qualification to become a menopause-informed yoga teacher.

If your goal is to specialise in menopause, then a comprehensive 40-hour training is an excellent option.

But if you’re looking to confidently support the women already in your classes, understand the key physiological changes that occur during menopause, and know how to adapt your teaching safely and appropriately, then this half-day CPD may be exactly what you’re looking for.

Using my Four Pillar Framework: Brain • Bone • Muscle • Heart, we’ll explore the science behind menopause and, more importantly, the practical ways you can apply that knowledge in your teaching.

The principles you’ll learn don’t just benefit women during menopause. They also support healthy ageing and can be applied long before menopause begins, helping women build strength, resilience and confidence throughout midlife and beyond.

I’d love you to join me.
