It's been another lesson...
I'm finally beginning to understand boundaries...
Not the sort you read about in books...
The sort you have to practise...
The sort where you can still be compassionate...
Still care deeply...
Still wish someone well...

Whilst quietly accepting that their storm isn't yours to stand in...

That's a hard lesson...
Especially if you're the sort of person who always wants to help people fix things... ❣️

30+ years ago I attended NHS group therapy. At the end of the 12 weeks we were asked to bring a quote, a song or a picture which explained what we had gotten out of the group. One of the women, who had participated in the group played this. This song, as soon as it comes reminds me of that time, reminds me of her, of her journey and how far I have come 😊
