A little look back at the fantastic live performance from Colby Gaffney at our Whitfield Mocktail Party 🎶

Colby had the whole garden engaged, bringing brilliant energy and well‑loved songs that were enjoyed by all. It was the perfect entertainment for chilling in the garden - that's if you weren't up on your feet and dancing!

What a fantastic afternoon we had at Whitfield with our Mocktail Party 🍹☀️

With the lovely weather on our side, residents, family members and staff came together to enjoy a great selection of mocktails, plenty of delicious food and wonderful live entertainment from Colby Gaffney!

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and made it such a brilliant success - it was lovely to see such a great turnout and enjoy the occasion together 🩷

Two of our Team Whitfield stars have been nominated 🥳🎉

We’re proud to share that we’ve been nominated for three awards at the Dementia Care Awards 🩷

The organisation itself has been nominated for the Dementia Friendly Business award, which recognises businesses that have developed and implemented incentives that support individuals living with dementia who use their services.

Two members of staff from Whitfield Residential Home have been nominated for individual awards - Imam Salish has been nominated for the Dementia Care Home Worker award, while Taz Nicholson has been nominated for the Dementia Frontline Leader award - we're all immensely proud of the both of them!

These nominations reflect the compassion, dedication and hard work shown by our teams every single day. Providing high‑quality, person‑centred dementia care is at the heart of what we do, and it’s wonderful to see that commitment acknowledged.

A good old game of bingo 🎱✨

Residents recently enjoyed a relaxed bingo session in the home - a much‑loved classic that never goes out of style. Cards at the ready and dabbers in hand, it was a lovely way to spend time together and enjoy a familiar favourite.

Sometimes, it’s the simple activities that bring the most enjoyment 💛

A lovely afternoon tea at Whitfield ☕🍰

Residents and guests came together to enjoy plenty of tea, sweet treats and tasty nibbles, all set out beautifully for a relaxed and social afternoon. The room was filled with conversation, laughter and those simple moments that make afternoons like this so special.

Celebrating VE Day 🇬🇧

Our garden was full of sunshine, smiling faces and the smell of a proper barbecue, as residents and guests came together to enjoy the occasion. With plenty of food on offer, cold drinks in hand and lots of friendly conversation, it was lovely to finally spend time outdoors and soak up the warm weather together.

After our VE Day barbecue, we were treated to a fantastic crooner performance from local superstar Colby Gaffney, which was thoroughly enjoyed by staff, residents and guests alike!

A bit of seated tennis fun at Whitfield this week 🎾✨

Our residents enjoyed a lively keepy‑uppy style game, batting the ball into the air from their chairs and seeing how long they could keep it going. It was a great way to get everyone involved, encouraging gentle movement, coordination and plenty of shared moments around the room.

Simple games like this are a brilliant way to stay active, have a laugh and enjoy something a little different together 💛
