📢 Bank Holiday Closure Notice ☀️

Please note that Dudley Wood Surgery will be closed on Monday 31st August for the Summer Bank Holiday. We will reopen as normal on Tuesday 1st September.

If you need medical help while we are closed, please see the information on our poster for details of the services available. You can also contact NHS 111 for urgent medical advice and support, or call 999 in a life-threatening emergency.

💊 Please note that some local pharmacies may also be closed or have reduced opening hours over the Bank Holiday weekend, so please check directly with your pharmacy for their opening times and advice.

🎉 What a fantastic Open Day! 🎉
A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Dudley Wood Surgery Open Day today. We had such a wonderful morning and were delighted to see so many new and familiar faces from our local community.

It was fantastic to have the support of our Patient Participation Group (PPG), and a special thank you to Dr Kalsi, who spent the last hour chatting with patients and answering questions.
We're also incredibly pleased to have raised money for charity through our cake sale, and we hope everyone enjoyed the complimentary samosas, NHS App support from our ICB and the opportunity to meet our team.

Events like these remind us how important it is to connect with our community outside of appointments, and we truly enjoyed spending time with you all.

🎄 We're already planning our next Open Day, which we hope will be a Christmas celebration with our patients, colleagues, and the local community. We'll share more details as soon as we can!

Thank you once again to everyone who attended, supported us, donated, and helped make today such a success. We can't wait to see you all again soon! 💚🏥🎄

We're supporting Breast Cancer Now and we'd love our patients to get involved! 🎀

🎉 On Saturday 1st August we are hosting an open day where the winner will be chosen. All numbers will be put into a hat and one lucky winner will be drawn at random.

🌞 Heatwave Advice 🌞

With temperatures expected to remain around 30°C for the rest of the week, we are asking patients to help us reduce unnecessary travel during the hottest part of the day.

If you have an appointment booked and feel it could be managed over the telephone instead, please contact the surgery and let us know. Our team will also be proactively contacting patients where appropriate to see if a telephone consultation may be a suitable alternative.

📱 If you need to order a repeat prescription, please consider using the NHS App, where you can also view your health records, test results and manage appointments. If you need help setting up or using the app, our reception team will be happy to assist.

💧 Remember to stay hydrated, seek shade where possible, wear sunscreen, and check on elderly relatives, neighbours and vulnerable friends.

Thank you for helping us keep our patients, staff and community safe during the hot weather.
