๐๏ธ Need urgent help with an eye problem?
The Black Country Community Urgent Eye Care Service (CUES) provides urgent assessment, treatment or referral for sudden-onset eye problems. The service is available to patients registered with a Black Country ICB GP.
You should contact a local optician (optometrist) if you experience:
๐ด A red or painful eye
๐๏ธ Something in your eye that wonโt come out
โ ๏ธ A sudden change in vision
โจ Flashes or floaters
๐ Always call first โ this is not a walk-in service. Depending on your symptoms, you may receive self-care advice, be offered a virtual or face-to-face appointment, or be referred to another appropriate service.
Please note that CUES is not an eye test and does not cover conditions already being routinely monitored, such as cataracts, diabetic retinopathy or glaucoma.
