I bought all these pieces of fabric for The Yurt a few years ago in Kuala Lumpur. Until this weekend, they were used as chair or gong stand covers or to put instruments on but I thought they might look good on the walls. I have no idea how long they will stay up for (I may completely change my mind!) but at the moment I’m really enjoying the bright colours. I hope you like the new look Yurt! ✨🛖✨

Do you struggle to switch off after work or a day with the children? Do you feel tension or pain in your body? Maybe a yoga class at The Yurt is just what you need!

Yoga classes at The Yurt are generally Yin or YinYang in style. What does this mean? It means we work with deep, long held stretches to target the connective tissues in the body to help reduce tightness and hopefully ease pain.

Slow stretches? That sounds a bit easy to me! Don’t be tricked into thinking that a class with very little movement won’t work your body! As we target areas where tension builds from sitting at a desk, stress or exercise you will definitely feel that you have done something that benefits your body.

All classes close with soothing, grounding gongs to allow you to completely let go and leave restored and ready for a deep sleep.

Yoga classes are Monday 6.30pm (mixed) and Tuesdays 7pm (women only) Drop in, blocks and monthly memberships are available. Monthly memberships include an exclusive Yurt discount code that can be used for treatments and sound baths.

Classes resume Monday 10th August. Please message me for more information.

Melt in the loveliness of The Yurt and going on a sound journey of gongs, bowls, crystal harps and an accompanying twinkle of sounds. There may also be something new making an appearance depending on how my practice over the next few weeks goes…

Every visit to B Love Sacred Sound Is magical but adding the musical genius of Mike Tamburo created something spectacular. Five days of wonderful training, gorgeous food and the most amazing sound baths is hard to put into words. I feel very blessed to have shared the gong space with all the beautiful souls there. ✨🙏✨

Hello!

I hope you’re all having a wonderful summer. I’ve been taking a break from social media recently and enjoying some much needed rest and sunshine. It’s been so great to switch off and spend time with my family. I’ll get a few photos up soon.

I’ve popped on here to let you know that I’m holding a Soundscape in The Yurt Wednesday 29th at 7pm. There are just 4 spaces available as the others were quickly booked up before I managed to advertise. I’ll get more dates scheduled soon but am easing back into work slowly!

Do you find yourself exhausted and desperate for the weekend by Wednesday evening?

A Midweek sound bath could be just what you need.

Take time for yourself to relax and let go of stress and listen to the grounding sounds of gongs, bowls and other accompanying sounds for an hour and then enjoy homemade cake and tea afterwards.

With more and more people booking at least two appointments at a time when they leave, my diary is filling up. The second half of June is already fully booked as are the spaces that I have around my travels in July. Please book ahead to avoid disappointment and remember that gift vouchers cannot be extended past the year that they are valid for.

I thought I’d show the magic of a Yurt Soundscape! Unlike the beach, these are limited to just 9 people.

The Yurt is scented with sage to deepen your relaxation and it sparkles with candles and twinkly lights. Blankets, bolsters, mats, rugs and eye masks are all ready for you so all you need to do is show up.

Allow yourself to be carried away on a journey of sound to another place where you can leave everything behind and take some time just for you. After just under an hour of therapeutic sound you will have time to come back round slowly in your own time. To close, we share herbal teas and homemade cake for those who want to relax longer.

So yesterday something very special happened…

As part of a collaboration with I played for over 80 wonderful women at Belhaven Bay which is one of my favourite places. Having been full of nerves to play for so many people combined with my worries about the weather and logistics of having to alter my playing style for the sound to carry outdoors I was pretty rattled and full of adrenaline afterwards. Many people came to tell me that they enjoyed it but to be honest their words if kindness sort of drifted over me as I internally questioned had it been ok? Why hadn’t I use this or done that? And these thoughts stayed with me throughout a fairly restless sleep last night.

Today however things feel very different… I’m now feeling pretty amazing - I played outside for over 80 wonderful women!!! Wow that’s pretty fantastic and what a community to be part of!

The person that left a career which made me question everything about myself would never have done this. When I started to really learn more about sound work I told my teacher that I wanted to go on a special journey and really I feel that it’s only just beginning!

Massive thank you to and for asking me to be part of this and to for all the gorgeous images. I even made a fairly decent reel! Happy days!
