This is a short message from our friends in the Tayside Kidney Patients Association:

Every dialysis patient should have an invite to join our 200 Club, which is our biggest fundraiser.
There are also three Prize Bingo events coming up.
The TKPA has helped fund two successful events so far this year and would like to hold further events in the future. If you've attended either of these then you'll know how much fun they were. But to continue to run these events we need your support. You can do this by buying 200 club tickets or you can also support us by donating prizes for the bingo. DM this account for details on how to pay/donate.

Next month, August 16th to be exact sees the Dundee Kiltwalk taking place once again. The walk starts at St.Andrews and, by way of Guardbridge, Leuchars, Tayport and Newport, finishes at the Slessor Gardens in Dundee. Thats 20 gruelling miles and 12 of our intrepid nurses and healthcare workers will be undertaking it in aid of the Tayside Kidney Patients Association.
The Kidney Kilties are: Pam Craig, Peter Mearns, Sylvia Purves, Sylvia Fraser, Reghan McMillan, Allyson Teviotdale, Joe Taylor, Kate Roberts, Kate Rowland, Reese Corbyn, Laura Donoghue and Zoe Roberts.
Theres a link to the Just Giving page below, and of course in the meantime if you would like to donate then feel free to speak to any of the above Kidney Kilties !

Congratulations to Ellise Sloan and Molly Hadden
Both have completed their SCQF Level 8 and Band 4 training. They have been working exceptionally hard toward completion of this in terms of academic work and sign off in renal clinical competencies. We are all very proud of them!

Another successful event took place recently in Escape Dundee with "prisoners" from patients and staff. All three teams put in a fantastic performance, obtaining 4th place on each of their respective Escape Room leader boards and the Kidney Conquerors obtained the best time overall! Big thanks to all who came, and of course to the TKPA for helping to fund it.

The TKPA have asked us to pass on the following:

TKPA have received several donations via Just Giving from anonymous donors. We are very grateful for all donations but its unfortunately not possible to personally thank anonymous donors. So we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who made donations to us via Just Giving, including those who donated anonymously.
We are truly very grateful.

Some of you may know our renal care assistant in Arbroath, Allyson Teviotdale. Allyson's son Charley will be throwing himself out of a plane on June 21st, something your editor here wouldn't consider doing in a month of sundays. Hes raising funds in aid of Tayside Kidney Patients Association, an organisation that does an awful lot for kidney patients and their families and they badly need your support. You can read more of his story via the link below.

A cheque for £500 from Provincial Grand Lodge of Forfarshire Good Causes Fund was presented yesterday afternoon to Tayside Kidney Patients Association by Robert Burns Lodge of Dundee No 1788. Pictured are RWM Steven Alexander and WSW George Lyall along with Audrey McHugh, Chairperson and Amanda Vaughan, Treasurer.
Photos taken at Dudhope Bowling Club where Audrey, Amanda and George are members.
The Association expressed their gratitude for this welcome donation to their coffers. They are entirely self funding through various Association local initiatives. A very worthy cause indeed.
