I have run out of superlatives for Helen.

Helen was exhausted, in pain, and barely recognised the woman staring back at her in the mirror.

A mum navigating chronic pain,
partial paralysis, a threat of losing her lower leg,
type 2 diabetes,
PCOS
emotional exhaustion
and the daily battle of simply trying to cope.

She didn’t need another quick fix.

Unpopular opinion

I see so many women doing fad diets,

not focusing on protein and whole foods,

having very little fat,

doing endless cardio, in the hope to lose body fat for good.

But unaware the affect it has on the metabolic health.

Without strength training & sufficient protein you will end up losing muscle.

Preserving as much muscle as possible is absolutely vital.

As the more muscle you have enables us to consume more food,
has the ability to burn more calories, positively affecting our metabolism and more.

Please ensure you are implementing these suggestions to aid in your long term health.

If I had a pound for every time a potential client told me “I just can’t stay consistent”... I’d be flying in a private jet right now 😉

Here is what I’ve learned after 12 years of coaching women over 40 consistency is not a personality trait.

It is not something you either have or you don’t.

It is something that happens naturally when a plan fits your life.

Most women who struggle to stay consistent are trying to follow a program that was designed for someone else’s schedule, energy levels, and/or life.

They do great for two weeks, then something happens so they miss a day that turns into a week.

And then they decide the problem is them.

It is not them. It was never them.

When the plan is simple enough to survive a bad week, consistent enough to build real momentum, and flexible enough to bend without breaking, showing up stops feeling like a battle…

It just becomes what you do!

If you have been blaming yourself for not sticking with it, I want you to consider that you might just need a different plan.

🍫 High-Protein Chocolate Date Mousse

Recipe (3 serving):

🌴 150g dates
🌱 60g chia seeds
🍫 30g cocoa powder
🥛 400g 0% Greek yogurt
🥛 150ml milk
💪 1 scoop whey protein powder
🌼 5g vanilla extract
🧂 Pinch of salt



👨‍🍳 Method

1. Combine everything except the chia seeds into a blender and blend until smooth
2. Stir in the chia seeds
3. Leave in the fridge for 2+ hours until set

Calories: 400 kcal
Protein: 29g
Carbs: 41g
Fat: 10g
Fibre: 14g
