A little friendly competition between residents and staff always brings plenty of fun!
This time, we put our skills to the test by rolling out the wool and feeding our hungry bears with spaghetti! 🐻🍝 The big question was… which bear would finish their spaghetti first?
It was a fun way to spend time together while encouraging concentration and motor skills, with plenty of laughter and friendly competition along the way! 🏆

Yesterday morning was all about a lovely trip out to Rayne Station! 🚂
Everyone enjoyed exploring the historic railway station and discovering a little more about its fascinating past. Afterwards, it was time for a stop at the Booking Hall Café for a well deserved hot drink and a good chat. ☕❤️ It was a wonderful morning out, with plenty of smiles and a chance to enjoy a little piece of local history.

We’ve been busy getting ready for the Thaxted Arts Exhibition! 🎨
Our residents have been putting their creativity to work, creating some wonderful pieces that we’ll be very proud to display at the exhibition.

It’s a lovely opportunity to celebrate their talent and creativity, while sharing a little piece of life at Humfrey Lodge with the wider Thaxted community. ❤️

We can’t wait to see their artwork on display!

A great morning around the snooker table! 🎱
Our gentlemen enjoyed a few frames of snooker, showing plenty of concentration and skill as they lined up their shots. It was a lovely way to spend the morning together, with some great shots and plenty of smiles along the way. 😊

Bingo is always a favourite at Humfrey Lodge! 🎱😊
Our residents enjoyed a few fun rounds together, keeping a close eye on their cards as the numbers were called and waiting to see who would be the first to shout “Bingo!” 🎉

We had a very special performance at Humfrey Lodge yesterday afternoon! 💃🎶

A huge thank you to our wonderful young visitors who came to entertain our residents with beautiful traditional Indian dancing and singing. 🇮🇳

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed the performance and really appreciated the time and effort the children put into sharing such a special part of their culture with us.

Our Runwood Ramblers enjoyed a lovely walk in the sunshine, making the most of the beautiful weather and the final days of summer! ☀️🌿😊

There was lots of fun, laughter and a few unexpected twists as everyone enjoyed a giant game of Snakes and Ladders! 🎲🐍

A little friendly competition brought plenty of smiles to Humfrey Lodge as our residents enjoyed a fun game of penguin bowling. Everyone had great fun trying to knock down the pins, with lots of laughter along the way!

With each cooking session, our residents continue to improve their baking skills and confidence. Recently, they put their skills to the test and treated fellow residents to two delicious homemade bakes, a creamy cheesecake and a delightful apple pie. It was lovely to see everyone’s hard work and enthusiasm rewarded as the treats were enjoyed by all!
