Thought for Sunday : The sun has returned to the Shore. Warmth in late summer bringing beautiful sunsets, glorious sunrises and calm after torrential showers of rain last week. Rain, I know, that other parts of the UK is desperate to receive. Visitors comment on how green it is here and after visiting the far south recently. I can attest to brown and dry landscapes.

Life moves quickly, change is a constant and in embracing change, don’t limit your life. Don’t put yourself in a cage.

Do the things you have always wanted to do, don’t put up any barriers, think big, make it happen and love every part of it, even the challenges.

Be alive, smile, laugh and tell your loved ones that you love them.

Be bold, be beautiful, be you

Thought for Sunday: A bit driech at the end of this week and my fortnight holiday. But the rain has stopped nothing, apart from perhaps my scaffolders and render work, but that will happen when it’s supposed to I guess!!

Outings, more catch ups and a fabulous coming together of friends, family and community by amazing friends with an inflatable costume it’s a knockout tournament . So much laughter and joy. Another day for the memory bank.

Making memories matter. Don’t worry about collecting things. Collect memories. Book in the coffee/wine catch ups, book in the trips out, go and see your favourite band, a meal
At a favourite restaurant- life goes past too quickly . Enjoy the moment and make it count

The Horse That Carried Dawn

My grandfather said the road
begins long before our footsteps.
It lives beneath the grass,
remembering every traveler.

He told me the horse
does not belong to any rider.
It carries the breath of the open land
and answers only to a truthful heart.

When grief came into our lodge,
we placed no rope around it.
We let it run through us
until sorrow became distance.

The old ones taught that freedom
is not leaving everything behind.
It is knowing what must be carried
and what must be returned to the earth.

So I keep the names of my people
where no storm can take them—
inside the quiet rhythm of my spirit,
where every ending becomes a path home.

Thought for Sunday: Rain has returned to the Shore. The Earth drinks thirstily and we pray that it helps to calm the wild fires burning the land.

Devastation abounds.

There are times in your life where you can feel hopeless, that there’s nothing you can do to help, to support, a situation, a friend , yourself.

It’s at times like this you have to trust, In the expertise of others, of their training, find a way to support yourself with being hope “ full “

When the world is full of storms, be a lighthouse. Stay strong, shine your light and find your path through the darkness

The Small Heart That Carries Dawn

My grandmother said
the smallest spirit may carry
a message too great
for thunder to hold.

It comes when the heart grows tired,
drinking sweetness from hidden places,
teaching us that joy is not weakness,
but medicine gathered drop by drop.

The old ones speak softly through it:
Do not measure your strength by your wounds.
Even after the longest winter,
your song still belongs to the morning.

So I leave my sorrow with the earth
and keep only what helps me rise—
a faithful heart, an open road,

Thought for Sunday: The glorious summer days are staying with us, leading to long quiet beautiful evenings. I sat out on the pier the other night with good friends with a glass of wine watching the sunset and just enjoying the moment. Silence filled the air and peace filled our souls.

Life has been challenging with one thing or another recently, not just for me but for many friends. We manage through by being there for one another. A listening ear, a hug and a helping hand.

Never judge what you see on the outside, a situation may be a totally different perspective than what you may think on the surface. Be kind, be understanding and be non-judgemental. None of us truly knows what troubles another is carrying.

I wish for you all a peaceful week in a world of turmoil.

Thought for Sunday: Summer heat pervades every breath, every movement. Balmy evenings sooth the frazzled soul and laughter shared calms the mind.
