This morning I sat with a coffee and replied to a few messages from customers.
Some mornings I’m curled up in the corner of the sofa.
Some mornings I’m sitting in the garden if the Scottish weather is being kind!
It wasn’t hours of work. It was simply checking in with people, answering questions, sending a few voice notes and seeing how everyone is getting on.
Sometimes we chat about skincare.
Sometimes we don’t.
Sometimes we’re talking about holidays, family, work or just life.
That’s the bit I love most.
People often tell me, “I’d love to do something like that, but I just don’t have the time.”
I used to think building a business meant finding huge chunks of spare time.
It doesn’t.
For me, it’s built in little moments throughout the day.
A coffee and a few messages.
A quick follow-up while dinner’s cooking.
A catch-up over coffee with someone who wants to try the products.
A skincare borrow bag heading off to someone who’s curious.
Those little moments add up.
Next year, Chris and I are heading on the holiday of a lifetime 🤩 a transatlantic cruise from Barcelona to Argentina. 🚢
I’m paying for it with my Tropic commission.
I’m also planning to use my commission to save for Christmas this year too.
Eight years ago, I didn’t join because I had some grand business plan.
I joined because I wanted great skincare, to save a bit of money, pay off some debt and earn some extra income.
I had absolutely no idea where that one decision would lead.
So if you’ve ever wondered whether you could do something alongside your current job, maybe don’t ask yourself, “Could I build a business?”
Instead ask yourself…
Could I spend 20 minutes today doing something that might change where I am a year from now?
Because you never know where one small decision might take you.
If you’ve ever been curious about how it all works, send me a message. No pressure, no expectations, just a chat.
