NEW EPISODE!
We're excited to share our first full episode of Bipolar Edinburgh's Whatever the Weather Podcast!

In this episode, we talk with Gregor, a peer support worker from Penumbra, about his lived experience of bipolar, his journey into peer support work, and the importance of support from those who understand.

The Whatever the Weather Podcast is a space for honest conversations about life with bipolar. By sharing our experiences, we hope that people affected by bipolar can feel less alone. πŸ’œ

Grab a kilt and support Bipolar Edinburgh at the 2026 Edinburgh Kiltwalk, a fun annual fundraising event - with a touch of Scottish flair.

The Kiltwalk is our only fundraiser of the year, and the money raised provides the majority of the funding that makes our community possible. Join Team Bipolar Edinburgh on Sunday 13th September to walk together. And as a thank you, everyone who signs up will receive a FREE Bipolar Edinburgh T-shirt!

To walk with us, sign up here https://bit.ly/Kiltwalk2026 and register for the Wee Wander.

Earlier this month, we celebrated the 3rd anniversary of our Bipolar Peer Support Service! πŸŽ‰

Delivered in partnership with Penumbra Mental Health, the service provides free one-to-one peer support for people living with bipolar across Edinburgh. Over the past three years, it has been a valuable source of connection, understanding, and support for many people in our community.

This service wouldn't be possible without the dedication of our incredible peer support workers and the ongoing support of the Penumbra team.

A special thank you to our peer support workers Lu, Mary Anne, and Gregor for the care, commitment, and encouragement they bring to supporting others affected by bipolar. πŸ’œ

At our recent all ages meeting, shared his personal journey and invited members to take a short poll about their experience.

Age and type of diagnosis have a lot of significance for the bipolar experience, and these responses show how different it can be for everyone. But the beauty of a community is we can also share what we have in common - like the positive things we find in a life with bipolar. πŸ’œ

A huge thank you to everyone who took part and shared their responses. Swipe to see the results!
