Have your say on cancer care in rural communities!

If you live or work in a rural community within the Western Health and Social Care Trust area, this is an important opportunity to help shape the future of cancer care closer to home.

RCN is encouraging our members, community groups and rural residents to get involved in a workshop exploring how cancer support services can better meet the needs of people living in rural areas.

Workshop
Date: Wednesday 29 July 2026
Time: 10.00am โ€“ 4.00pm (approx.)
Venue: Silverbirches Hotel, Gortin Road, Omagh, BT79 7DH

The workshop will bring together community and voluntary organisations from across the Western Trust area to discuss what 'care closer to home' could look like and how the experiences of rural communities can help shape future services.

๐Ÿ“‘Can you help by sharing your story?
The project is also inviting people affected by cancer, along with carers, family members and loved ones, to share their experiences of accessing care and support in rural Northern Ireland.

Your story doesn't need to be perfect-it simply needs to reflect your experience. Every story will help build a better understanding of the challenges rural communities face and inform future workshops, reports and discussions with decision-makers.

To register for the workshop or submit your story, please see the attached flyer and follow the details provided:
https://ow.ly/KGIe50ZqO8k

Together, we can ensure that rural voices are heard and help shape cancer services that work for everyone, no matter where they live.

๐ŸŒปGood Morning Mama Calls Are Now Open For A Limited Time.๐ŸŒป

At Support 2gether, we know that becoming a mum can bring beautiful moments ,but it can also bring anxiety, overwhelm, and feelings you werenโ€™t expecting. If mornings are feeling heavy right now, you donโ€™t have to carry that alone.

Our Good Morning Mama (GMM) calls are gentle, supportive morning phone calls with one of our team. These calls are for mums who may be experiencing anxiety, low mood, or emotional overwhelm after having a baby.

Sometimes having someone to check in with, listen, and help you steady yourself for the day can make all the difference.

These calls are available to mammies living in the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area.

If you feel this support could help you, please send us a private message on our page or email us at:
