Women's health has changed so much over the last few years, and thankfully, so has the conversation around it.

For generations, many women were told to "get on with"

Today, we know there's so much more support available

Whether it's understanding your hormones, exploring treatment options, or simply having someone take the time to listen, women deserve healthcare that feels compassionate, informed and personalised

The more we talk openly about women's health, the easier it becomes for other women to realise they don't have to struggle in silence

Every conversation helps break the stigma

One thing I've noticed from talking to women locally...

Many of us are brilliant at explaining away our symptoms
"I'm just tired"
"It's probably stress"
"I'm getting older"
"I'll be fine"

Sometimes that's true, but sometimes our bodies are simply asking us to slow down and pay attention

Whether it's changes in energy, sleep, periods, or simply feeling a bit different, listening to your body is never a waste of time

What's one piece of health advice you've heard over the years that turned out to be true?

27/07/2026

We're passionate about seeing more women feel informed and confident about their health

So much of women's healthcare starts with education, understanding what's normal, recognising when something has changed, and knowing that support is available if you need it

Whether it's periods, hormones, menopause, pelvic health or simply understanding your body a little better, having access to reliable information can make a huge difference

Our hope is that by sharing more conversations like these, more women will feel empowered to ask questions, seek answers and prioritise their own wellbeing

Because every woman deserves to feel heard, understood and supported

Can I ask a question?

How many of us were actually taught what to expect as our hormones change throughout life?

We learn about puberty at school, but conversations around periods, fertility, perimenopause and menopause often happen much later… usually when we're already experiencing symptoms

The more I work in women's health, the more I realise how many women are trying to navigate these changes without enough information or support

I really believe we need to talk about women's health more openly

If you could ask one question about your hormones or women's health, what would it be?

When we talk about menopause, the conversation often centres around hot flushes and night sweats
But for many women, it's the emotional and psychological symptoms that have the biggest impact

Feeling anxious when you've never experienced anxiety before
Losing confidence
Feeling overwhelmed by everyday tasks
Not recognising yourself anymore

These experiences can be incredibly unsettling, and many women tell us they thought they were simply "not coping"

The reality is that hormonal changes can have a significant impact on mental wellbeing. That's why menopause care should never focus on physical symptoms alone

At Liberty Women's Health, we believe in caring for the whole person
Whether you're looking for reassurance, guidance, or a personalised treatment plan, we're here to help you understand what's happening and support you every step of the way

You deserve to feel heard, understood, and supported

Stress and hormonal changes can look surprisingly similar

How many times have you told yourself… "It's probably just stress"

Life is busy, and stress is something we all experience. But when symptoms like anxiety, poor sleep, brain fog, low mood or fatigue don't improve, it's worth considering whether there's more to the story

Hormones influence far more than your menstrual cycle. They play an important role in your mood, sleep, energy, concentration and emotional wellbeing

One of the most common things we hear is, "I thought I just wasn't coping anymore"
You don't have to guess what's happening, and you certainly don't have to struggle in silence

💛 At Liberty Women's Health, we take the time to understand your symptoms, your hormones and your overall wellbeing, so you can move forward with clarity and confidence

If you've been feeling "off" and can't quite put your finger on why, we'd love to help

Has anyone else noticed that women are often really good at looking after everyone else's health... but put their own at the bottom of the list?

We hear so many women say things like:
• "I'll book an appointment after the school holidays"
• "I've just been too busy"
• "It's probably nothing"
• "I'll see if it settles down"

Life gets busy, and it's easy to keep putting yourself last

Sometimes taking care of your health doesn't mean expecting something to be wrong… it simply means giving yourself the same care and attention you'd encourage a friend or family member to seek

What's one health appointment you've been meaning to book but keep putting off?

The Ziwig Endotest offers a simpler, non-invasive way to help investigate endometriosis through a saliva-based genetic analysis, supporting earlier understanding when symptoms suggest something more is going on

🔹 How much bleeding is normal?
Most periods last between 2–7 days. While the amount of bleeding varies, regularly soaking through pads or tampons every hour, passing large clots, or finding your period affects your daily activities may be worth discussing with a healthcare professional

🔹 How much pain is normal?
Mild cramping is common, particularly during the first few days of your period. However, severe pain that causes you to miss work, school, social events, or rely heavily on pain medication is not something you should simply put up with

🔹 How many days should a period last?
A typical period lasts between 2–7 days, and menstrual cycles generally occur every 21–35 days. Some variation can be normal, but significant changes to your usual pattern should be investigated

🚩 When should you seek advice?
• Heavy bleeding
• Severe period pain
• Bleeding between periods
• Irregular cycles
• Symptoms affecting your quality of life

You know your body best.. If something doesn't feel right, it's worth getting checked
