Optomeyes Eyecare is looking for a friendly, experienced **GOC-registered Dispensing Optician** to provide locum cover in September.

📅 **2nd, 3rd & 4th September 2026**
📅 **7th & 8th September 2026**

Independent practice environment with a lovely established patient base and experienced support team.

📍 Hampshire
🕘 9am–5pm
💷 Competitive locum rate

Ideally we’re looking for someone who can cover all five dates, although please get in touch if you can cover part of the block.

Before you look up, make sure you know how to protect your eyes. 👀
Looking directly at the sun can cause serious and permanent damage to your vision, and ordinary sunglasses — no matter how dark — aren’t enough protection.
❌ Don’t look directly at the sun without suitable protection
❌ Don’t use binoculars, cameras or telescopes without the correct specialist solar filter
✅ Use certified eclipse glasses designed for direct solar viewing
✅ Or use a safe indirect method, such as a pinhole projector
If you’re watching with children, make sure they understand that even a quick peek without the correct protection isn’t safe.
