🌳🍽️ **A lovely day out for our residents!** 🍽️🌳

Today our residents enjoyed a trip to **The Topiary Restaurant in Falkirk at the Klondyke Garden Centre, Polmont **, with a beautiful country drive along the way. ☺️

Our driver, Colin from Harry Ferguson Traveline, took us on a lovely scenic route, with the sunshine shining through the trees. ☀️🌳 Our residents enjoyed spotting and identifying the different trees as we travelled

After a lovely time out, it was back to Crofthead for a relaxing afternoon of word searches and Runrig 🎶🧩

🚶🏻‍♀️💌 **Walking Group & Autumn Newsletter** 💌🚶🏻‍♀️

Our residents enjoyed the walking group today, followed by a visit to Fauldhouse and Breich Valley Community Development Trust, where they were warmly welcomed with coffee and a chat. ☕️

They were also offered the **Fauldhouse and Breich Valley activity programme**, giving them the opportunity to find out about some of the activities happening within the local community.

Meanwhile, our Newsletter Group got together to start drafting our **Autumn Newsletter**. 🍂📝

The group also made an exciting decision, our Crofthead Newsletter which we have published regularly has been given a new name!

From September, it will be called **“Crofthead Community Connections”**. ❤️

We’re looking forward to sharing our next edition in September, filled with news and updates from life here at Crofthead. 💌

☕🌏 **International Coffee Morning at Crofthead!** 🌏☕

Today, our residents took a little trip around the world without leaving Crofthead! 🇮🇳

**India was today’s chosen destination**, with our residents enjoying an international coffee morning inspired by the sights, sounds and flavours of this wonderful country. ❤️

And there was even more reason to celebrate, everyone gathered together to sing **Happy Birthday** to a very special lady 🥰 🎂

A day full of movement, creativity, memories and meaningful moments at Crofthead!
There’s been a wonderful mix of activities happening today, with something for everyone to enjoy. 💛

🎶 Residents joined in with chair exercises and Tai Chi, accompanied by music, keeping active while having fun together.

🧶 We also introduced a selection of fidget gadgets, including some lovingly handmade by our fabulous staff team. A special thank you to Angela, who carefully crocheted a beautiful fidget blanket for our residents. ❤️

🎹 One of our residents enjoyed some time at the piano, playing familiar tunes and reminiscing about the Sunday school songs they remembered from years gone by. Moments like these are a lovely reminder of how music can bring memories to life.

🏡 Over in Poppy House, residents also got involved with some household chores, supporting independence and keeping involved in everyday life.

🎨 And there was time for creativity too, with some residents getting started on their latest art projects.

Saturday morning is time for a little coffee, cake and good conversation at Crofthead Care Home. 🍰
Our residents will be getting together for a relaxed coffee morning at 11.30am, enjoying a cuppa, some tasty treats and plenty of time to chat and catch up.

🌸 A fabulous day of choice, creativity and a little bit of pampering! 🌸
There’s certainly been no shortage of things to enjoy today! Our residents have been getting involved in a wonderful mix of activities, including:
🎨 Paint by numbers
💎 Gem art
🎶 Musical instruments
💇‍♀️ Hair salon
🁢 Dominoes
🧖‍♀️ And a very special resident-led Spa Day!
The Spa Day was particularly special, with our residents choosing what they wanted, writing the shopping list and then setting everything up themselves in our beautiful conservatory overlooking the garden. 🌿
It’s all about choice, independence and creating experiences that our residents genuinely want to be part of. And judging by the smiles today, it’s been a fabulous one!

As an extension of our Spa day, which of course included chocolate, we finished off with a chocolate quiz, whilst Poppy house played connect 4, listened to Abba playlist and enjoyed hoopla. 😉

A big well done to everyone who has taken part in making today such a lovely day. ❤️

Residents enjoyed their coffee morning. They had the opportunity to give ideas and suggestions for a new pop up boutique which will be happening soon in the small lounge. 😆
Residents had fun thinking up names and sharing ideas. Later, some residents went for an enjoyable walk around Barton Terrace. ☺️

A lovely outing at the Gillespie Centre 😃
Our residents enjoyed a wonderful trip to the Gillespie Centre in Biggar, South Lanarkshire, where they received a warm welcome from Angela and the team.
Residents enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea while taking in the views and people-watching from the centre’s large glass windows overlooking Biggar High Street. There was also time to browse and select books and explore the community notice board, discovering local classes and upcoming events — supporting connection with the wider community and opportunities for meaningful engagement.

A huge thank you to Suzy for volunteering, and to Elisha, Davina and Lynne for coordinating such a lovely day.

It was a relaxed, person-centred visit, giving residents the opportunity to make choices, enjoy familiar community surroundings and spend quality time together. 🌸📚☕
