Home Instead Canterbury, Faversham, Whitstable & Herne Bay At Home Instead, we’re dedicated to providing personalized, relationship-focused home care. We’ve been there, we are there and we can help.

Offering a wide range of services, we’re here to support diverse care needs. ABOUT US:
We are Sean and Charlotte Phillips and proud owners of the Canterbury Office. We bring experience of lifelong careers in Management, Business and Nursing Leadership. We felt we could offer something special in this area and are actually previous clients of Home Instead having my (Sean) own Mother cared for brilliantly. We saw the difference Quality Home Care and the surrounding Management can make and the amazing impact it can have on a vulnerable loved one and planned to set up and make that difference in our own community. You can make contact anytime for an informal chat or drop into our office in central Faversham. It would be our pleasure! MEET THE TEAM:

Sean Phillips - Owner

After a career in the music industry in various Management roles I started Home Instead Canterbury to make a difference and add a valuable and better service that I feel strongly about into my community. I also come as a former client of Home Instead who looked after my own Mother brilliantly and with such compassion in her home and where I discovered the next level service and attention to detail we should all demand. When I started the company I made a conscious choice to make change and affect the lives of elderly and vulnerable people for the better and to help people stay in their homes as long as possible. My wife Charlotte who is an NHS Nurse Manager is on the Management team and we both believe strongly in the Home Instead ethos that ‘Together, We Are Changing The Face Of Ageing and Home Care in the UK’. When we are not working you will find us and our two young children living, loving and laughing.. and plotting our next adventure! Charlotte Phillips - Co-Owner / Management Consultant

We know from personal experience that great quality of care is paramount for our valued family members and I have joined this journey with my husband Sean with a 25 year career as a nurse within the NHS behind me. For the last 10 years and ongoing I work as the clinical lead of East Kent’s Paediatric Community Nursing Team. This role has given me a great deal of experience and insight in caring for families through the most difficult times. We understand that caring for clients in their own home is a privilege and promotes independence, wellbeing, cognitive skills and a wealth of ongoing benefits. Joining the Home Instead family has given me the opportunity to use my wealth of experience to ensure we deliver the highest quality of care to our clients and train our Care Givers to the highest standards. Jackie - Care Manager
Barry - Care Co-ordinator

Our CareGivers - Various wonderful humans! Photo's and biogs incoming

September marks the 15th anniversary of World Alzheimer’s month.

This year’s theme is ‘The Earlier You Know, The More You Can Do. A Diagnosis Matters.’

It’s a message we stand behind and resonates with many families we support.

Early diagnosis can help you and your loved one access the right support, plan for the future and make informed decisions about their care.

If you have questions about dementia or Alzheimer’s, please get in touch. We can offer guidance and point you towards the right organisations and professionals who can provide the advice you need.

You don’t have to do this alone. 💚
