Welcome to Move Better Sports Therapy 💙

I’m excited to announce that MBailey Sports Therapy is now Move Better Sports Therapy.

While the name has changed, the commitment to helping people recover from injury, reduce pain, improve performance, and move with confidence remains exactly the same.

Why the Change?

When I first started my business, using my own name felt like the right way to build trust and establish myself as a sports therapist. As the business has grown, I’ve realised that what clients value most isn’t just who I am it’s the outcome they achieve.

Move Better Sports Therapy reflects the core philosophy behind every treatment and rehabilitation plan, helping people move better, feel better, and perform at their best.

The new name also creates a stronger identity that better represents the services I provide now and the direction I want the business to grow in over the coming years.

Thank you for all the support and I can’t wait to keep supporting you all along the way!!

P.s More information to come around booking systems ect keep your eyes peeled ✨

We train strength, we train cardio… but mobility is what lets us use that strength through full, healthy ranges of motion. When mobility is neglected, the body compensates and that’s often where stiffness, aches, and injuries start.

Think about it 👇
• After sitting at a desk for 6–8 hours → hips tighten, spine stiffens
• Long drives or flights → reduced circulation and joint movement
• Heavy lifting or hard training sessions → tissues need movement to recover
• Waking up stiff in the morning → joints need gentle motion to “wake up”

Mobility helps:
✔ Keep joints moving the way they’re designed to
✔ Reduce unnecessary stress on tissues
✔ Improve posture and movement quality
✔ Support recovery and long-term performance

You don’t need an hour. Even 5–10 minutes of intentional movement can reset your body and keep small issues from becoming big problems.

Strength builds capacity.
Mobility protects it.
Don’t skip the basics.

New year, new goals 💪✨
Let’s keep that motivation going past February.

One of the biggest reasons people stall, pick up niggles, or get injured isn’t a lack of effort — it’s a lack of recovery. Training hard without recovering properly means your body can’t keep up with the demands you’re placing on it.

Training and recovery aren’t opposites — they’re a team.
Train to create the stimulus.
Recover to adapt, progress, and stay on the pitch / in the gym.

Why training is good for you 🧠💪

• Builds strength, fitness & resilience
• Improves heart health & energy levels
• Strengthens bones, muscles & joints
• Supports mood, focus & mental health
• Improves body composition
• Boosts immune function
• Improves sleep quality

But none of that sticks without recovery.

How to recover (evidence-based 🔬)

• Protein: Supports muscle repair and growth
• Rest days: Muscles need 1–3 days to recover after hard sessions
• Sleep: Less than 7 hours = poorer recovery & performance
• Active recovery: Light movement reduces soreness
• Cold water: Can help short-term soreness (use strategically)
• Mobility: Helps reduce stiffness and improve movement
• Nutrition: Carbs refuel energy, berries help reduce soreness

If you want to train consistently, hit your goals, and avoid injuries — recovery isn’t optional.

Train smart. Recover well. Progress for longer. 💥

Reflecting on the past year of my sports therapy career, I’ve realised how much pressure I’ve put on myself to impress every individual who walks through the door. I felt I had to demonstrate my knowledge so that each person would leave feeling fully equipped to reach their finish line — all while quietly battling my own imposter syndrome.

Day after day, the same thoughts would surface:
“Is this the right career path for me?”
“Everyone knows more than I do.”
“Why do these people trust me to help them?”

What I’ve come to understand, though, is that simply listening, asking open questions, and showing genuine empathy can reveal so much about a person’s problem and how it’s affecting them. These are skills we all possess.

Creating space for patients to speak and truly feel heard helps them feel safe enough to express what really matters. And that, in turn, allows us to support them more effectively in understanding their situation and moving toward where they want to be.
