The Highlands’ only crematorium in Inverness is undergoing refurbishment this year, meaning there are fewer appointment times available for services.
Our service room in Inverness has long been used by families who want more time to say goodbye, and to greet family members and friends who may have travelled from afar to pay their respects.
Some families assume that if a loved one is to be cremated, they have to hold their ceremony at the crematorium, but that’s not the case. In a few posts over the next fortnight or so we’d like to dispel that myth and explain some of the options open to you for using our Chapel Street service room.

🌟 A New Era for Strathpeffer Pavilion 🌟

We’re excited to share some positive news about the future of the Pavilion!

The Strathpeffer Pavilion Community Trust. is set to take over the day‑to‑day running of our much‑loved venue — marking a new chapter for this historic building. This planned transition comes after years of close partnership with High Life Highland, who have helped build the Pavilion’s reputation as a vibrant space for weddings, concerts and community events.

All existing bookings, gigs, and events remain in place, and both teams are working closely to ensure a smooth and seamless handover, so everything continues as normal for our visitors and event partners.

High Life Highland would like to offer its sincerest thanks to the local community, customers, suppliers, promoters, partners… everyone who has been involved in the journey over the past eight years during its involvement.

The community can look forward to this next stage and to building an exciting future for the Pavilion together with the SPCT.
