Before I say anything else… can we all just take a moment to appreciate the fact that after all these scans, blood tests, poking, prodding and enough appointments to qualify for an NHS loyalty card… apparently I do still have a brain. 😂🧠

Good news is my CT scan came back clear, and so did my blood tests. 🎉 So that’s one giant sigh of relief!

Unfortunately though, they’ve still not found what’s causing the swelling behind my eyes or the blurred disc margin, so the detective work continues. Next stop is another hospital test where I’ll be knocked out, because apparently staying awake while everyone investigates my noggin is asking too much. 😂

Because of that, depending on how I’m feeling afterwards, I may have to reschedule clients on Tuesday and/or Wednesday. I absolutely hate doing this, and I know it’s frustrating, but please just bear with me while I get these last few tests out of the way. My head has taken a proper battering this last week, physically and mentally, and I think I’m only just starting to process everything that’s happened.

One thing I have to say though…

A huge thank you to the optician at Specsavers Whitehaven who trusted her instincts last Sunday and made that very first referral. ❤️ Without her listening to her gut, who knows how much longer this could have gone unnoticed or what further damage might have been done. You’ll probably never realise just how much of a difference you’ve made, but I certainly won’t forget it.

And honestly, thank you to every NHS department that’s looked after me this week too. As much as the speed they’ve moved at has had me convinced I was starring in my own episode of Casualty 😂, it’s also made me realise that maybe… just maybe… my health deserves to come first too.

I’ll keep everyone updated as soon as I know more because at the minute it honestly feels like life has been put on fast forward and I’m just trying not to fall off.

Thank you all for the messages, the patience, the understanding, and for putting up with me while I temporarily become the salon owner with the most thoroughly investigated eyeballs in Cumbria. 👀😂❤️

Well… it looks like I’m disappearing from the salon again today. 🙈

Today’s adventure involves even more hospital tests… and a brain scan. I suppose we’re finally about to find out whether I actually have a brain after all. 😂🧠

Who would’ve thought all of this would come from what I thought was just a simple little eye test, eh?

The good news is that the salon is still open as normal because the absolute saint that is Be is holding the fort and keeping everything running smoothly while I go off on another medical expedition. Honestly, I don’t know what I’d do without her. ❤️

As much as I don’t usually like putting my private life out there, it’s much easier to keep everyone updated this way rather than having clients wondering where I’ve disappeared to or why appointments may need to be rearranged at short notice.

For now, please bear with me. These appointments are being arranged incredibly quickly, sometimes with less than 24 hours’ notice, so there may unfortunately be a few more appointment changes while I work my way through all of these tests and scans.

If you’ve messaged, called or emailed me recently, please don’t think I’m ignoring you. Replies are going to be a little slower over the next couple of days while I navigate everything that’s happening. If I’m a little quieter than normal, it’s probably because I haven’t even had chance to properly process yesterday’s test results yet, never mind today’s.

Thank you to every single person who’s checked in, sent a message, offered kind words or been so understanding. Your patience, support and kindness honestly mean more than you’ll ever know. ❤️

Now… fingers crossed they find at least one functioning brain cell in there. 😂🤞

✨ Out with the old… and in with the glow-up. 🤎

Sometimes it’s not about adding more hair… it’s about falling back in love with the hair you’ve already got.

The black just wasn’t doing it anymore. We’d both reached that point where it was time to say goodbye and embrace a softer, richer brunette. 🤎

So here’s what we did…

✨ A little colour correction to create the perfect base.
✨ A fresh brunette to match everything seamlessly.

Fun fact… her own hair was actually longer than her extensions before we started! 😂 I could kick myself for not taking a photo with the old extensions removed first. Lesson learned! 🙈

A little colour correction, a fresh set of hair, and she’s officially entered her brunette era… and I am absolutely here for it. 🤎✨

✨ Before & After | Scalp Bleach & Tone ✨

Today I did something I haven’t done in a while…

Instead of reaching for my usual magic YUV Colour Lab, I went right back to basics because I’ve been itching to put the new through their paces thanks to .hair 😘

And… they did not disappoint. 😮‍💨👌

Happy Sunday everyone! ☀️😎

So… I’m off for an eye test today because I’ve finally admitted defeat. 😂

I do already wear glasses… well… I’m supposed to wear glasses. The problem is I’m absolutely useless at actually putting them on. 🙈

Instead, I’ve been living life by shutting one eye, moving my phone backwards and forwards until it magically focuses, and convincing myself that’s a perfectly acceptable way to function. 😂

I’m starting to think one eye has officially decided it’s had enough of my nonsense, so today’s the day to see if my prescription has changed!

If I come home with stronger lenses, I suppose I should probably start wearing the things this time… 🤦🏼‍♀️🤓

Anyway… enough about my questionable life choices! 😝
