A netball injury left one of my patients from Hempstead unable to straighten her fingertip — a classic Mallet Finger injury, caused by a sudden knock to the end of the finger.
She was worried it would stay bent forever. But with the right splint, worn continuously for the right length of time, and a carefully guided exercise plan once healing allowed, her fingertip straightened out again.

Breaking a finger is painful enough, but realising it’s healing flexed can make you concerned for the long-term recovery.

When Sophie came to see me after breaking her ring finger, she wasn't happy with the stiffness and the 45-degree bend left behind. She wanted her straight, fully functioning finger back so she could get on with daily life without adaptation or worry.
