🚲🔔 What a day. What. A. Day! ☀️

Our women's ride set off through the Athletes' Village and out to Cunnigar Loop and back - with everyone growing in confidence on the hills and the turns along the way 🚴‍♀️💪 What a special thing, to ride through the heart of the Games as they come to our city!

Then it was back to the Green for a joyous picnic in the sunshine - bikes, bells, games, food and so much laughter. Wee ones racing about. New friends made over a shared picnic blanket 🧺

That's what this is all about - the simple, brilliant joy of a bike, and the community that grows around it 🚲✨

Thank you to every single family who came along and made it what it was. And thank you to our wonderful volunteers, and to the Festival and for making it possible 🙌

We had a great day at Victoria Park today as part of their Commonwealth Community Festival. We had our adapted bikes and trikes for people to try out and see what other kinds of bikes are out there, and how they work. Our short skills trail certainly challenged some, but also made people think about why these bikes are different. Not everyone can ride a 2 wheeler, but there are plenty of other bikes out there to try out, and we can help with that 😁

Who's got sunflowers??? Let's see them! 😁🌻💙🚲

Here are a couple of photos of some of the sunflowers which are growing as part of our Petal Power campaign. We have heard that some people have lost theirs to slugs, lost them to the weather and some just didn't work out this year.

Keep growing, and share your photos with us as they grow. Let's spread some sunflowers across social media 🌻

Some rides are about more than cycling. 💛

Our adapted cycling sessions with local care homes bring back memories, spark conversations and create moments of pure joy - like this resident, back in the saddle at 97 after more than 60 years.

Every single resident told us they enjoyed the sessions, felt happy during the activity, and felt included and able to take part. Care staff told us residents talk about the rides for days afterwards.

Because you're never too old to feel the wind in your hair. 🚲

Last week we welcomed new group Past Times to our bikes at Sunny Cycles. They enjoyed using our fun2go bikes and other trikes to enjoy an inclusive cycle around Glasgow Green 😁🌞🌻🚲

We make sure everyone can enjoy cycling in the sunshine, a bike doesn't just have to wheels, sometimes they have more 😁

Bikes & Bells is here - FREE cycling sessions for New Scots women and their families, at our hub beside Glasgow Green 💙☀️

Whether you've never touched a pedal or your wee ones are ready to roll, there's a session for you:

🚴‍♀️ Cycling Lessons - Mon 3rd Aug, 1–2pm
👨‍👩‍👧 Family Bike Skills - Mon 3rd Aug, 2.30–4pm
🌳 Family Bike Rides - Wed 22nd July & Wed 5th Aug, from 2pm
Everything is FREE and we provide it all - bikes, helmets, and plenty of encouragement! No experience needed, everyone welcome 💛
