Namashivaya My Loves 🙏🏽💕

After a wonderful two years trading with the Barras Market, it is with a heavy heart that I am saying goodbye.

Unfortunately over the past few months, I have had Pigeons nesting directly above my stall space. As much as I love these beautiful creatures, they have left a lot of mess all over my units, which has resulted in a biohazard.

Despite repeatedly pleading with management of the Barras Market to help resolve the situation professionally, they didn’t deem the health and safety of its traders or the public important to deal with in a timely manner.

After the market’s "PRIDE" event in June, I ended up in hospital with a respiratory reaction and health complications which I have spent the last month trying to deal with.

They have finally put up some bird deterrents and made some effort to clean. However, my stall space was still covered in feathers and hazardous debris. I explained to the manager that this is still a hazardous environment and I would need time to decontaminate all my products before continuing to sell them safely to the public.

In response, they evicted me from my trading space, giving me just 48 hours to evacuate the premises.

I’m sad to go but I have to focus on my health first and foremost. I don't believe it's fair to have to put my health at risk in order to trade.

The Apothecary will continue its journey online for now. The website is still a work in progress so please DM me for any orders.

I appreciate everyone’s loving support of my business over the past four years. Please do keep in touch and stay tuned for what will come next. I can’t wait to see where this ending takes me.

Namaskaram my dears🙏🏽

I am excited to let you know that I have returned to for trading at the weekends! 🎉 I apologise for such a long wait. I really appreciate your patience whilst getting all my products stocked up and the website back online 💕🙏🏽

My time in India was absolutely amazing and I had so many wonderful cultural experiences from all sides of the great country 🇮🇳 While I was traveling, I had the opportunity to visit some socio-economic initiatives in south India, and I brought back some wonderful and exciting products that I feel really aligns with the future of this business for you to try out.

It took a while for me to return as I unfortunately had quite a serious car accident while I was out there and consequently have been going through a difficult fibromyalgia flare-up 🫪 So I’ve had to take some time to concentrate on healing my body.

I will post more about my new products and travels soon, but for now, come and visit my new stall at The Barras Market open every weekend from 10am - 4pm. You can find me in C section of the main market where you’ll discover lots of great deals to browse.

🕉️ Nama Shivaya 🙏🏾It is with a very heavy heart I let you know that my wee baby Cleo passed away this week🪷 she is now on her way to Mahadev as we perform her final rituals 🔱❤️‍🔥

She was such a strong, brave girl. Unfortunately, after too many surgeries, her bladder issues were persistent and causing her too much distress and discomfort so we felt it was time to let her rest in peace. Thank you so much, to everyone who has helped and supported Cleo's healing journey. She will be cremated tomorrow.

I was blessed to experience 13 years of unlimited joy with wee Cleo in my life. All the mad zoomies, shenanigans and so many cuddles. She was my baby, my best friend and divine companion. She taught me the meaning of unconditional love. There will never be enough words to describe what she meant to me and all that she brought into my life 💕🪷 She will live in my heart forever and I know that one day we will be reunited. For now, there are some others in heaven who will be waiting for her with joy and open arms, looking after her until I get to be with her again.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your well wishes, support and compassion during these difficult times.

Here are the places you can find me and my candles/crafts over the next few months! I love being every weekend, but I think it’s time for me to venture back into trying some other markets around the country.

Tomorrow, I’m super excited to attend the event hosted by in Edinburgh! A different type of market, with a focus on wellness, connections and community.

I’ll be back spirituals market on 31st May. It’s been a while, but this is genuinely one of my favourite markets in Glasgow for the location, people and of course the legend, himself!

I really enjoy making these and they last for around 2.5-3 hours each.
