This month, Evidence to Practice takes a closer look at Achilles tendinopathy.

We're exploring key areas relevant to clinical practice, including the differences between midportion and insertional Achilles tendinopathy, differential diagnosis, exercise prescription and loading, and the potential influence of psychological factors on rehabilitation.

The evidence also highlights an important message: there isnโ€™t one exercise programme that will be right for everyone. Effective rehabilitation starts with listening to your patient and completing a thorough assessment that is tailored to the individual, their presentation and their goals.

Have you explored our new SST CPD Series yet?

Designed to support your ongoing professional development, this monthly series brings together practical, evidence-informed resources on key areas of clinical practice, alongside updates on common injuries and the latest research.

Our second SST CPD Series is now available and focuses on red flags and the importance of early recognition and appropriate referral for serious pathology.

As Graduate Sports Therapists, recognising when symptoms may indicate something more serious is an essential part of safe, effective practice. This resource explores key red flags, clinical reasoning, and when further investigation or referral may be needed.

Visit your member area to access the latest resource and continue building your clinical knowledge and confidence: https://thesst.org/the-sst-cpd-series/

If you missed it, don't forget to check out the first CPD Series on lateral elbow pain, available in our Wimbledon section.

๐Ÿ“– Introducing SST Evidence to Practice โ€“ our monthly research update

Keeping up with the latest research can be challenging, so we're here to help.

Each month, Evidence to Practice will focus on a different topic, bringing together the latest research and exploring what it means for clinical practice. Our aim is to make it easier for you to stay up to date and turn research into practical knowledge that you can use with confidence.

This month, we're exploring recovery strategies for athletes and what the latest evidence says about supporting recovery after training, competition and sporting events.

๐Ÿ”— Find out more: https://thesst.org/evidence-to-practice/

๐Ÿ’ฌ We'd love this series to be shaped by our members. Is there a topic you'd like us to cover? Let us know in the comments, and we'll use your suggestions to help plan future Evidence to Practice updates.
