This weekend I had one of those more indulgent weekends. Takeout out with my sister, birthday cake to celebrate my niece’s birthday, and a coffee and pastry with pals after our usual Saturday morning run 🥐
Years ago this would have sent me spiralling 💔 I would have thought, “Okay, now I need to do some extra gym sessions, skip a few meals, or go super strict for the rest of the week.”
Now it’s TOTALLY different 🙏🏼
I know that one weekend does not undo all the work I have put in and nutrition is about SO MUCH more than eating for health 100% of the time or eating just to influence how you look. Food is social, connection, celebration, enjoyment, memories, tradition and so much more.
And nutrition is not about being perfect either. Perfect doesn’t exist. It is about learning how to fuel your body in a way that works long term, without guilt or restriction ❤️
Seeing clients 1:1, I notice this pattern all the time. Women getting caught in the “all or nothing” mindset.
My job is helping them step off that rollercoaster, enjoy life, and still make progress towards their training, performance, health and aesthetic goals 🔥
If you are stressing over a meal or a weekend of indulgence, this is your reminder - you can enjoy the moment and still move forward ❤️
So if you’re fed up with the diet culture BS that makes you feel guilty for just enjoying food with friends and family, hi 🩷 you’re in the right place 🤗
And if you’re ready to approach your nutrition and training differently and build a better relationship with food, send me a DM with the word COACH to explore options to work together 🫱🏻🫲🏽
I have 3 spots (one has been snapped up!) inside of 1:1 coaching for an immediate start, just in time to feel confident going into the festive season ✨
