Welcome to my page! I'm happy you're here.
Making the decision to reach out for therapy can be a difficult and even daunting task. I'm here to offer you a safe, non-judgmental space in which we can explore your difficulties and what is important to you, and work towards healing together.
I am a Counselling Psychologist with over five years of clinical experience. I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). I have an honours degree in Psychology & Sociology, and a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology.
I have experience in working with a wide range of mental health difficulties, ranging from anxiety and depression to trauma, self-harm and suicidal ideation. I have experience working with young people, adults, and older adults. I am trained in a number of approaches, including Person-Centred Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I have over four years of experience working with LGBTQIA+ populations, as well as with neurodiverse individuals, in a charity setting.
As a q***r, autistic therapist, I am aware that therapy can be especially nerve-wracking to consider for LGBT+ and neurodiverse individuals. I prioritise empathy and unconditional positive regard in my work, and aim to provide a space where you will not have to defend your gender or sexuality, and where you are encouraged to be wholly yourself - if you want to stim, or have your camera off during sessions, that's absolutely fine!
I am committed to anti-discriminatory and anti-oppressive practice. I am continuously engaging with research, training, and self-reflection to ensure I provide a safe and affirmative space for my clients. I will always work with you to understand both our similarities and differences without making assumptions.
If you feel like you'd like to give therapy a shot, and that you'd like to work with me as your therapist, you can send me an email, and I will aim to get back to you within 2 working days.
