I’ve been a little quiet on here... for the best possible reason 💍❤️

After taking some time away, it felt pretty special to get back to doing what fills my soul most... cold water, sunshine and family.

A beautiful paddle and swim at Sandbraes with my amazing mum and stepdaughter. Three generations, one paddleboard, lots of laughs and the kind of moments that remind you how healing nature can be.

Scotland never disappoints 🌊🏔️💛

If you’ve been waiting for yoga sessions with me, outdoor swims and adventures, I’m back and can’t wait to share more with you all.

Here’s to movement, mindfulness, wild water and making memories.

There’s something quietly amazing about eating your breakfast outside.

The cool air, the warmth of the morning sun on your skin, the gentle sounds of the world waking up… and a simple, nourishing breakfast in your hands.

Post gym, I took time to eat outside today as it's so nice.

Before the rush of the day, before the noise — just a moment to breathe, to be present, to connect.

This is what we lean into in my yoga and open water swimming sessions. It's not just movement, not just the water — but the full experience of slowing down and tuning in.

Nothing beats finishing a refreshing swim outside, wrapping up warm, and sitting down to eat as the sun is rising. Your body awake, your mind clear, your senses alive.

My early morning yoga and open water sessions will be starting soon!

Even if there’s still a little chill in the air… turning your face to the sun and feeling that warmth is just the best feeling ☀️

After a very snowy and very rainy start to the year here in Aberdeenshire, things are finally starting to feel lighter… in every sense. Yesterday I spotted my first crocuses, their bright colours popping against the dull brown landscape. Little signs that spring is waking up🌱

I can never quite describe the feeling when spring arrives after a long winter. The days slowly begin to stretch out, the grass gets greener, the birdsong gets louder, the air feels softer… and you start to feel that sunshiney lift inside too.

The spring awakening.

I’ve only just returned to one of our favourite walks after about 5 months. Clyde is such a water baby (like me!) that keeping him away from the fast-flowing river over winter is the safest option. But being back here? The joy from him is palpable 🐾

If he’s dooking around for stones in the water, that’s Clyde’s time… and all you can do is wait until he finds the *exact* stone he wants. It’s like trying to get a kid off the beach.

Spring is the perfect reminder to get back outside.
Take a look around. Notice the changes. And notice the shift within yourself too.

Fresh air = a natural lift.
Better mood. More energy 🌿

I’m so ready for everything the brighter months bring — more swimming, more walking, more al fresco yoga, less screen time and less couch time. Hallelujah.

What’s your favourite thing to do outside that winter has made you do less of?

Now’s the time…get back on it 🧘🏼‍♀️🚴🏼‍♀️🧜🏼‍♀️ ❤️

Spring is coming 🌱🙏🏼🌊💛

As the water temperature rises, it’s the perfect time to shift from just *surviving* open water to actually **swimming it well**

This spring I’m opening up spots for

**open water swimming coaching**

with a strong focus on:
• Stroke technique in open water
• Efficiency and rhythm without pool walls
• Sighting, breathing, and body position
• Building confidence as conditions improve

Cold water is great for resilience.
Slightly warmer water is ideal for

**learning and refining technique**

If you want to feel smoother, stronger, and more in control before the triathlon season, summer races, or any open water swims, now is the time to start.

📩 Message me to book spring sessions or to ask if this coaching is right for you.

After a very hectic and at times very stressful 2025, with the highest of highs (getting engaged and buying our home) and some very low lows, we had a quiet festive season. A Christmas surrounded by family and a low key hogmanay, full of bugs 🤧

Then ~ snowed in for 8 days.

Completely cut off! No work, no school, no gym, no cars...

so, this week has felt like my official start to the year.

Back in the pool 🏊🏼‍♀️
Back in loch🌊
back to movement 🧘🏼‍♀️
back at the gym🏋🏼‍♀️
back to school runs 🚗

and back to those quiet grounding moments and sunrise walks, with my stepdaughter even asking to join me on one yesterday before school! Genuine win 💛

One of those 'we didn't plan this, but it mattered' moments, that often end up being up there in your highlights of the year.

So yes, this week has felt like a fresh start. The kind that lands in your body, not just on the calendar. Eight days snowed in is a forced pause most of us never give ourselves...so, no wonder it's felt like the actual beginning of the year for my household.

Ive had lots of reflective conversations this week with other people who had messy or delayed starts, people who are leaning into that same gentle re-entry energy rather than big bang resolutions, more 'lets build momentum' than 'new year, new everything!!' I always think making big resolutions at new year sets yourself up for failure 🤷🏼‍♀️

Easing in to the year with intention rather than pressure, is honestly the best way to start a year. Here's to steady routines, brighter mornings and unexpected company on the path ahead 🥰

Fresh starts don't have to happen on January the first. Sometimes they arrive when the mind is ready for action, the body is ready to move, the breath feels deeper and slower and routines begin to flow, rather than forcing themselves upon you, feeling overwhelming.

If your year also started slowly (or sideways) remember you can begin again, any time. Each sunrise invites a new day, filled with opportunities to rest, to move, to learn, to grow, to work, to train, to heal, whatever it is you need in your life and have promised yourself in those quiet moments of self love and kindness, to do more of.

Gentle momentum counts. Returning to the water counts. Rolling out your mat again counts. Reading a page at a time counts.Tiny steps count.

Speaking of fresh starts,

My open water swimming coaching diary is open again. Now taking bookings for March onwards.
