🌟 Celebrating Invisible Disability Week: Empowering Every Learner
This weekend, we want to shine a light on Invisible Disability Week, a vital time to raise awareness about the challenges faced by individuals with invisible disabilities. These can include conditions such as ADHD, autism, the 4 Ds (dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia and dysgraphia) chronic fatigue syndrome, PTSD, anxiety, hearing or visual impairment and mental health disorders, which, although not immediately apparent, significantly impact daily life and learning experiences.
At the IMDT, we believe that every learner deserves support, understanding, and accommodations tailored to their unique needs. We are striving to encourage open conversations in an environment of empathy and inclusiveness. We don’t have all the answers but if we talk – between us we can tackle this.
Join us in spreading awareness and support by advocating for accessible resources, understanding the importance of flexible learning approaches, and ensuring that every voice is heard. Together, we can create a community where all students feel valued and empowered to succeed. We can't solve all the problems that life throws at us but we can support your learning...
Interested? Email us on [email protected] and we can arrange to speak on the phone, by Zoom or by email – your choice.
