Our Sky Bar, Cinema, and other spaces aren't just for our residents... they're for the whole family to enjoy!! 🍻🍷

At the weekend, Maureen and her family hosted a World Cup Winners Presentation 🏆 and what a fantastic day they had 💕

It was wonderful to see everyone, celebrate and spend good quality time together 🥰

🤠🌵 Yeehaw & Saddle up, because the Cowboy Day photo overload is here! 📸⭐

Today Arplemere was transformed into the Wild West as our residents dusted off their cowboy hats, struck a pose with our fun props, and enjoyed a rootin' tootin' afternoon of music, singing and dancing! 🎶🤠

A huge thank you to the amazing Daydream Believers, who had everyone clapping, singing and tapping their feet 😛Their fantastic entertainment brought so much joy, laughter, and wonderful memories to our residents 🤩

There were plenty of smiles, lots of laughter, and a few sheriff-worthy poses along the way 😂 It was an afternoon full of fun, friendship, and country charm 🥰

We do love a Knit & Natter! 🧶☕

When Elsie approached us asking if we had some knitting needles so she could see if she still remembered how to knit, we were more than happy to help 🤩

Before long, Iris joined her, offering plenty of encouragement and sharing her own knitting tips. The two of them spent hours together, knitting, chatting, and enjoying lots of cups of tea 😝

It turned into such a lovely afternoon, full of laughter, memories, and the beginning of a wonderful new friendship. Moments like these remind us that it's often the simplest activities that bring people together❤️

🪴👩‍🌾 Today is the day of our Crystal in Bloom Competition 👨‍🌾🪴

We are delighted to share our fantastic Sensory Garden with you all! ✨ This project has truly come to life, and we are so excited for everyone to see it.

Our residents chose a Sensory Garden as the main focus for Arplemere, a peaceful place where people can sit, listen to the sounds of nature, enjoy the vibrant colours, attract butterflies and bees, and bring a beautiful area of our garden to life. 💚

We reached out to our local community for pebble donations and were overwhelmed by the support. We also hosted a pebble painting session, where everyone embraced our sensory theme of Birds, Bees, Blooms & Beasts 🐝🐦🐞

Many features within our Sensory Garden, including pallets, paint and a variety of ornaments, were kindly donated by residents' families, friends and our wonderful staff. 🥰

Our gravel and plants were sourced from local garden centres and suppliers, while the drainage pipes, ladder and birdcage were found at a local reclamation yard. 🤝🫶

A key part of our vision was creating a haven for wildlife. We were generously gifted a hedgehog house 🦔, which inspired us to develop a dedicated wildlife area complete with a bug hotel🪱🕷️

This has been an incredible project for everyone to be involved in, and we'd like to say a very special thank you to our Lifestyle Manager, Jo, and our Maintenance Officer, Martin 💕

Jo has worked tirelessly, and her creativity and imagination have transformed this space into something truly magical🌟

Martin has spent countless days in the garden, mowing the lawns, trimming the hedges and planting beautiful, colourful flowers, creating a wonderful splash of colour throughout our grounds. We are incredibly lucky to have you both🥰

To celebrate all of the hard work, our residents enjoyed a well-deserved glass of wine and prosecco, and now we eagerly await the competition results! 🤩🥂
