Patient Information – Nexplanon® Contraceptive Implant Update:
The Nexplanon® contraceptive implant is now licensed for up to 5 years of use in the UK (previously 3 years).
This follows updated clinical evidence confirming that the implant remains safe and effective for pregnancy prevention during years 4 and 5 of use.
What this means for our patients:
• Longer duration of contraceptive protection
• Fewer replacement procedures and appointments
• Continued safe and effective contraception
If you currently have a Nexplanon® implant, there is no need to contact the practice. We have updated our recall system and will contact you when your implant is due for replacement.

Spring Covid-19 Vaccine invites have started being sent out to patients either via text message, email or letter.

We are running a clinic on Sat 9th May.
The practice will contact patients in due course if eligible.

The COVID-19 vaccine helps protect against COVID-19, which can be a serious or life threatening illness.

The vaccine is offered because viruses change, and protection fades over time. It’s important to top up your protection if you’re eligible.

IF you are eligible for your RSV vaccine, this can be given at the same time.

Respiratory Syncytial Virus is a common cause of coughs and colds.

RSV infections usually get better by themselves but can sometimes be serious for babies and older adults.
