I take time to listen, gather the stories and small details that matter, and craft a service that feels truly personal, whether it includes faith, family traditions, humour, or simply meaningful words and music.

Today I stood in front of my own family, saying goodbye to one of our own… Uncle Pete.

I’ve led hundreds of funerals, but doing it for your own hits differently. You’re half professional, half trying not to cry, and fully aware your family is watching every move 👀

Pete’s service was exactly him… laughs, stories, colourful language that would’ve made a vicar blush,and a 21 second hymn he would’ve absolutely loved.

He adored mischief, and he adored causing carnage, so today was right up his street.

He was loud. Really loud.📣
He was brazen. Painfully brazen.🦸‍♂️
And yes, he could be a complete tw** at times… okay, a lot of times.🫣

But he was truly ace, and we wouldn’t have changed a single thing about him.

The world feels a little quieter tonight.
Rest easy, Uncle Pete. ❤️

When a colleague pulls up at the Crematorium with Aircon and he let's you sit in his car while he goes inside to do his arrangements. What an absolute Legend! Thanks Phil Osgood 🥰 (it did cross my mind to pinch his car, and leave him with mine 🤭)

💙 Created with Love for Today's Father's Day Remembrance Service 💙

Last night, a lovely lady contacted us after being given our details by a fellow church member who had recently purchased several of our Footprints design keepsakes.

She explained that she was holding a memorial service today and wondered if we had anything else with a religious theme.

As luck would have it, we had some beautiful cross designs tucked away waiting for the right occasion.

After a lot of patience and a little bit of creativity, we created some double-sided Heartfelt Bookmarks, protected them in clear sleeves and finished them with our little gold heart paperclips.

The lady was absolutely thrilled with them and happily took them at £1 each, and we are delighted that they are being used in the hymn books for today's Father's Day remembrance service.

They have probably been some of the trickiest little creations we've made, and with that in mind, all feedback would be gratefully received. ❤️

💛 WOW... 💛

We are incredibly grateful for all of the support, enquiries and orders we have received since launching Heartfelt Keepsakes.

What started as a simple idea by my daughter Megan has quickly grown into something very special, and we have been overwhelmed by the kindness, encouragement and interest shown by so many families, friends and local businesses.

Every keepsake is lovingly prepared with care, with the hope of bringing a little comfort and providing a lasting memory of a loved one. Knowing that Megan's creations are helping others means the world to us both.

Thank you to everyone who has shared our posts, recommended us, placed an order or simply taken the time to send a kind message. Your support truly means more than you know.

💛 A little thank you from Megan... 💛

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone for the incredible support shown on my previous post. The likes, comments, shares, messages and orders have completely blown me away.

When Megan first started creating these keepsakes, I never imagined they would touch so many people. I am so incredibly proud of her and grateful for every single order she receives. Seeing something she has poured her heart into being so well received has been truly wonderful.
Today we received a last-minute message from a lady in Devon who is holding a memorial for her mum on the first anniversary of her passing. She had come across our post and instantly recognised the Footprints in the Sand verse, explaining that her mum loved it so much she even had it tattooed on her leg.

Knowing how special it was to her family, Megan packed the keepsakes up and had them sent first class within the hour.

It's stories and moments like these that remind us why Heartfelt Keepsakes was created. They may be small keepsakes, but they carry precious memories, love and comfort for those left behind.

Thank you all so much for your support, encouragement and kindness. It genuinely means the world to us both.

I want to share something personal.💞

My daughter has poured so much time, care, and dedication into creating these keepsakes, and I couldn’t be more proud of her. ✨

Each one is available for just £1, offering families a simple, meaningful way to hold onto a memory.🕊

She is also creating a growing range of more personalised options. If this is something you would like, she can provide as few as one item, or as many as you require.🌿

I am also happy to step in, where needed, if the funeral is taking place in Grimsby, by ensuring the keepsakes are at the crematorium and placed on the seats, or delivered to the local funeral director, or directly to you. 💌

I do not need to be the Celebrant taking the service for this to be arranged. However, if I am conducting the service, I can also offer a beautiful basket to loan for the day, allowing the keepsakes to be handed out afterwards, or giving any children attending a small but meaningful role, offering them a gentle focus or distraction on the day. 🌹

If anyone would be so kind as to share this post, it really would mean so much and help support something she has worked incredibly hard on creating. 🥰

Some services stay with you forever… and the service for Eric Lane will certainly be one of them. 💞

Every funeral should reflect the character, personality and charm of the person being remembered and Eric’s service was no exception. A true one of a kind gentleman, full of humour, warmth and cheeky character right until the very end.

Eric was well known for his trademark middle finger salute, so naturally it simply had to make an appearance during the service too. I can safely say it was the very first time in my career that I have respectfully delivered a middle finger salute during a ceremony… and, it was absolutely perfect for him!

Today, his beautiful family surprised me with the most thoughtful gift connected to that moment. The second it was handed to me, I instantly knew exactly who it was from and it made me laugh out loud.

What a privilege it is to create services that feel personal, authentic and truly reflective of the life being celebrated. Sometimes the most meaningful moments are the ones filled with laughter. 🤍

🌹I’m always incredibly mindful about what I share on this page, as funerals are such personal and sensitive moments for families. This post has been shared with love, laughter and with the kind permission of Eric’s family, in honour of a truly unforgettable gentleman whose humour was such a huge part of who he was. 🤍
