I would like to let all of my wonderful clients know that my appointment book is now closed for the summer.

📅 I will not be taking any further appointments until around 3rd September, when I return.

👣 Who’s checking our elderly loved ones’ feet? 👣

Today I visited a lovely 90-year-old gentleman who hadn’t had his toenails trimmed in over a year. As we get older, something as simple as cutting our own toenails can become incredibly difficult because of reduced mobility, poor eyesight, arthritis, or other health conditions.

Overgrown nails aren’t just a cosmetic issue. They can become painful, dig into the skin, increase the risk of infection, affect balance, and even make walking uncomfortable. For many elderly people, sore feet can lead to reduced mobility, loss of independence, and an increased risk of falls.

Sometimes all it takes is a quick look at a loved one’s feet to spot a problem before it becomes a much bigger one.

If you have an elderly parent, grandparent, neighbour or friend, please take a moment to ask how their feet are doing. They may not tell you they’re struggling, but proper foot care can make a huge difference to their comfort, confidence and quality of life.

✨ A journey of confidence, not just healthy nails ✨

Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of helping one of my lovely clients on an incredible journey.

When she first came to me, she had been living with fungal toenails for over 4 years. She was so embarrassed by them that it took a huge amount of courage to reach out for help. ❤️

Together, we started a treatment plan, and by following the advice and sticking with the process, she now has fungal-free nails! 🎉

Unfortunately, one of her nails had been left permanently damaged by the fungal infection, meaning it didn’t have the appearance she wanted. That’s where the next stage of her journey began.

Using ToeFlex nail reconstruction, I was able to create a natural-looking nail, giving her the confidence to wear sandals and flip-flops again. She even painted her toenails for the first time in years! 💅☀️

The reconstruction lasted 6 weeks, and today I removed it. She was so pleased with the results that she’s already booked in to have it reapplied throughout the summer.

This is why I love what I do. It’s not just about treating feet—it’s about restoring confidence and helping people feel comfortable in their own skin again.

🌟 I’m Back! 🌟

After a wonderful family holiday, I’m pleased to say that Happy Soles Footcare will be back open and ready to welcome clients from tomorrow morning.

While I’ve been away, I’ve taken the opportunity to make sure everything is fully updated and renewed for another year. This includes my insurance, DBS check, and the servicing of my autoclave.

I believe in being completely open and transparent with all of my past, present, and future clients, so you can have full confidence that:
