🌿 Exciting news from the ED!
We’re proud to share that Ysbyty Gwynedd’s Emergency Department has been awarded Bronze accreditation by the Royal College of Emergency Medicine GreenED programme recognising our commitment to sustainable healthcare. 🏆
Over the past year our team has been making real changes: reducing paper and single-use plastics, greener prescribing, composting, reusable equipment, and more- all without compromising patient care.
Where we can measure it, these changes have already saved 12,500 kgCO2e and £15,000 annually. 💚
A huge thank you to every member of the team; clinical, admin, pharmacy, and housekeeping -who has played a part in this. Bronze is just the beginning!
