One year ago today, my world changed forever!

Our beautiful daughter turns ONE. 💛

This year has been the most joyful, exhausting, emotional, hilarious and heart-expanding adventure of my life. Watching her grow from a tiny newborn into a curious, determined little girl has been the greatest privilege.

As a midwife and founder of Bambino Club, I’ve spent years supporting parents as they prepare for birth and parenthood. But nothing could have fully prepared me for the love, lessons and perspective that come from becoming a mum of 2 myself.

She has reminded me daily why I am so passionate about supporting families through pregnancy, birth and those precious early days. The journey isn’t always easy, but it is extraordinary.

To my little girl — thank you for making me your mummy. Thank you for the cuddles, the giggles, the chaos, and the countless moments that have filled my heart more than I ever thought possible.

Happy 1st Birthday, sweetheart. 🎂🤍

And to all the parents in our Bambino Club community — whether you’re awaiting your baby, holding a newborn, or chasing a busy toddler — cherish the moments. Somehow, they really do grow up in the blink of an eye.

A wonderfully odd historical midwife myth from medieval and early modern Europe:

Midwives sometimes believed a laboring woman’s knots had to be undone to “untie” the birth.

During difficult labor, a midwife might:

⭐️Untie ribbons, corset laces, apron strings, or hair braids
⭐️Open locked chests, doors, or windows in the house
⭐️Remove knots from bedding or clothing

The belief was based on sympathetic magic — the idea that physical “bindings” in the environment could spiritually or symbolically “bind” the baby in the womb and slow delivery.
