this weekend marked my 20 years at bestseller.uk. A job that I am proud and privileged to have.

many strands of spirituality and various threads of the yoga philosophy weave its way through corporate existence outside of the mat.
Therefore, it feels relevant to post this via my yoga platform.

the last two decades have been a wild ride and there have been two firm constants that lie within them - my career and my yoga journey. I have been dedicated to both and they have coexisted in a wonderful manner.

I am deeply grateful to work for a company that prides itself on the people and giving back. It has permitted experiences that I don’t take for granted.

here’s to that x

we have to work hard to be and feel the present moment

there is normally a constant drum of distractions that gently beat around us; pulling us forward in thought, or regressing back to something - each time the truer reality gets distorted

when we meet an asana flow that has a fluid like essence we can become immersed in our movement and the discerning body mind takes over - we become so acutely attuned in that moment with who we are that we become time, vs time passing us by

I took a walking meditation around my favourite, and local, London park today. Clissold.

I found myself soon indulging in the overhearing of people’s passing conversations and exchange of words.

Quietly walking alone amongst the crowds of people basking in today’s heat and sunshine allows such a being in the now. Observing, noticing and seeing.

The kids; some in tears and some running in streaks of laughter. The weary parents enjoying wine whilst rocking the young babies to sleep in the shade. The guy sitting under a tree on a chair with his book. The girls on the bench fixed in gaze ahead drawing what they see. The ones on their phone scrolling while half engaging with their partner or friend.

The guy on the bench gazing at the wildlife on the lake, joint in hand. Smiling. The group of young boys kicking their football to passing strangers as they walked along. The strangers responding with friendly kick backs . It was a communal game which ran along the whole path.

Two Grandfathers exchanging hugs & happy father days.

Black. Muslim. Jewish. White. Rastafarian.

What a beautiful scene it was. A park is and should be a safe space for people. A coming together of simple appreciation and joy of these green open spaces.

For some, these open green spaces are the safest place they have.

So, to pay homage to today’s Summer Solstice - here’s to nature, London parks and community.

The first edition of The Spacious Practice was pure magic ✨

It’s always hard to articulate a practice that is based on energetic exchange, mind body soul and stillness. It’s often indescribable, at least for me.

We moved, we paused, we sweated, we softened, we focused, we laughed, we let go, we strengthened.

Such a wonderful mix of students that came; from my committed online crew, the gorgeous regulars , a previous Yoga for Peace supporter and the dearest of pals from back home. To have so many beautiful souls show up, meet and share intention together made my heart so damn full.

We worked on renewal, release and restore with an underpinning seed of intention of

The Spacious Practice
Duration: 100 minutes

An invitation to slow down and settle into an expansive yoga experience. With the luxury of extra time, this extended practice allows you to explore each posture more deeply, rest in the spaces between, and gently touch on aspects of the eight limbs of yoga you may not have experienced before.

This class is designed to feel unhurried and nourishing—supporting both body and mind through a balanced, thoughtfully paced sequence.

You can expect:

🌍A gradual, grounding warm-up
💫Pranayama (breathwork) to centre and steady
🌊A flowing Vinyasa sequence
✨Restorative holds to soften and release
😴An extended savasana with guided relaxation
🧘‍♀️Meditation to close
🐌A slow and unhurried finish

You’ll leave feeling spacious in the mind, worked in the body, and grounded as you step back into your day.
