Job Vacancy: Youth Support Worker
Organisation: FacesUK CIC at The Lighthouse Sports and Social Hub
Pay: Β£13 per hour
Location: Dovercourt, Essex
Hours: Variable hours based on the needs of the young people, activities, and projects.
Age Requirement: 18+
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and caring Youth Support Worker to join our team and support children and young people across our youth programmes and community activities.
This is a flexible role where days and hours will vary depending on the needs of the young people, planned activities, events, and projects.
As part of this role, you will be supporting young people involved in our exciting Sweet Shack social enterprise, helping teenagers develop confidence, teamwork, customer service, and employability skills. You may also be required to support youth clubs, holiday activities, sports sessions, trips, community events, and other programmes delivered by FacesUK CIC.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting children and young people during activities, projects, and events
* Building positive relationships and acting as a positive role model
* Encouraging confidence, independence, and personal development
* Supporting young people involved in our Sweet Shack social enterprise
* Assisting with youth clubs, sports activities, trips, and community events
* Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment
* Supporting young people to develop social, communication, and life skills
Essential Requirements:
* Aged 18 or over
* Previous experience working with children and young people
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Enthusiastic, reliable, and approachable
* Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends if required
* Ability to work as part of a team and use your own initiative
Desirable:
* DBS registered on the Update Service
* Experience in youth work, mentoring, education, sports coaching, community projects, or SEND support
