We took part in a safeguarding course focused on young people delivered by YouThrive C.I.C, and even after seven years as a safeguarding lead (mostly supporting adults), this session genuinely stopped me in my tracks. It was eye‑opening, brilliantly delivered, and full of real, relatable scenarios.

I also want to acknowledge the amazing work they do across the borough supporting young people we could feel their passion and experience in every part of the training.

Thank you so much for such a worthwhile, engaging and thought‑provoking course. I’ve walked away with new insight and plenty to reflect on.

We’re excited to announce our new monthly Breakfast Club for residents living in supported‑living accommodation in Hornchurch. Thanks to funding from the players of the Postcode Lottery, we’ll be able to offer a free, healthy continental‑style breakfast and a welcoming space for social connection. Many residents live alone, so this project will help reduce isolation, boost wellbeing, and bring the community together. We can’t wait to get started and share our progress as the project grows.
