🎶 This afternoon we had the pleasure of welcoming Ian from Music in Mind to Marley Court! 🎶

What an afternoon we had! 😄Ian had us all laughing with his jokes and wonderful sense of humour, whilst singing some fantastic songs that brought back so many happy memories for everyone. ❤️

There were plenty of “Yeehaw’s!”, “Whoo’s!” and even a few fist bumps in the air! 👊🤠🎤

We even managed to get a couple of requests in, and Ian certainly didn’t disappoint! From the hilarious Ying Tong Song by The Goons to other well-loved classics, we were all laughing and singing along together. 🎵

Thank you, Ian, for such a fun-filled afternoon. We can’t wait to welcome you back again soon! 💙

Today at Marley Court we said goodbye and good luck to our wonderful Head Chef, John 💙

We would all like to thank him for his dedication, support and hard work throughout his time with us. His cooking has brought so much joy to both our residents and staff, and he will be greatly missed… and not just for the delicious meals! 🍽️

Last week at Marley Court we celebrated International Tea Day the best way we know how… with a lovely tea party! ☕🍰

Tea served from beautiful china cups just hits differently, and of course no tea party would be complete without plenty of cake!

Residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon filled with laughter, conversation and special moments shared with friends and family. 💛

Today we’ve been out and about in Chorley for a lovely fish and chip lunch with our friends at Marley Court! ☀️🍟🐟

We all jumped in a taxi together into town before taking a nice stroll over to Charlie’s Chips, where the lovely staff gave us such a warm welcome and even put out extra tables and chairs for us all to sit together.

After checking out the menu, we made our choices… scampi and chips for some, fish and chips for the rest, all enjoyed with a lovely cup of tea ☕💛

We then sat back, relaxed in the sunshine and enjoyed watching the world go by. We even spotted a young child riding an electric quad bike which sparked lots of conversations about our own younger days and all the things we used to get up to! We were all very pleased to see he was wearing a helmet though… because safety first! ⛑️😊

Before heading home, we had a little look around B&M’s garden section for some inspiration for our own garden at Marley Court 🌸🌿 We found lots of funny solar lights, quirky trinkets and plenty of ideas to help fancy up our outdoor space.

A wonderful day filled with laughter, friendship, reminiscing and making more happy memories together 💕
