Proof, the learning of a dance has begun. Week 1 challenge under way!

Man i am rubbish but its so much fun already!

Find out what dance I'm doing soon as there will be more bloopers, bad dancing and lots of giggles as I continue to practice till I get this!

Its not gonna be perfect (well my bit won't be!) But it's already proving hilarious doing this together!

Silly is a way in. It says I want to be near you without saying I want to be near you. It's low stakes, it's a bit ridiculous, and it works precisely because nobody has to be vulnerable to do it.

This week's challenge is Week 1 of the Summer Teen Connection Challenge.

Sometimes the deepest connection starts with the daftest thing you did all summer.

I have never met a teenager who doesnt get bored over the holidays or who wants to spend time "connecting" with their parents.

I have met plenty who will absolutely teach you their favourite dance, roast you in a quiz about yourself, or make you try the weirdest snack combo they've found online.

Connection doesn't need a big conversation. It needs an invitation your teenager actually wants to accept.

So here's a 6 Week Summer Teen Connection Challenge!

Five options every week.

You and your teen pick one together, no pressure, no "we need to talk."

Some weeks are silly. Some weeks go a bit deeper.

All of them are things I am going to do with my own kids, and all of them fit around the mess of summer plans, holidays, and lie ins. WIN WIN!!!

Anyone else having fun juggling school closures and work?

Don't get me wrong I do NOT want my kids in a baking school environment but wow I forget how much I rely on the routine of them going for 8 hours a day during the week!

Plus...now I have to do a food shop top up as them being home more means the cupboards are bare! 😣😆
