It’s been a mixed week recently ..

Many relationships merging and different moments to recognise coming at once ..

Firstly my gorgeous niece got married in Brighton .. happy days with family and friends

Secondly my hubby and I celebrated our 16th year together .. reflection of adventures past and those to come ..

Thirdly it marked 5 years since my lovely mum died suddenly leaving a huge gap in my world

Relationships are always evolving and each one ripples out to another ..

How we see them and interact with them shapes our lives ..

Which is why I work with couples or families I always see individuals as well so I can start to understand how they piece it all together ..

Plus .. relationships always bring us surprises .. beautifully highlighted by the dress I wore to the wedding which had .. pockets 💕🙏🏻

What kind of therapist am I ?

I don’t mean what type of programme but more what to expect from me as a human ..

It’s important to feel comfortable with your relationships therapist as you are sharing a lot !

-I am big on supporting boundaries
-I’m ok telling it straight and being honest with what I see.
-I can empathise with you but that doesn’t always mean agree and happy for you to disagree with me also
- I always have a cuppa available
- my style is interactive with you not just listening but working with you to shape your perspective and explore different approaches

But I’m always committed to supporting you and looking for that way forward:)

Top Tips !

When feedback is needed in the bedroom arena it can be hard to know how to approach !

Using positive statements is a great way to get started .

As I record this top tip I can say it’s hotter than ever in this madness of a heatwave in the UK .

So excuse me for bringing some light relief to the session as I look at betrayal and boundaries ..

- seriously who gifts on a jigsaw they haven’t broken up properly !!!!

When one person is wanting to be there and one person is making up the numbers !

If you have decided to give your time and actually be there .. then honestly just be there ! Make good use of the time and see if progress can be made .. be there for them but be there for you !
